When it comes to guns NY does not play! This is not the south, having a gun will get you some jail time no matter how good your lawyer may be. I just don’t get why he couldn’t get a security guard instead of a gun smh.

Giants receiver Plaxico Burress sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, possibly self-inflicted, on Friday night, according to several Web sites, each using unnamed sources. Foxsports.com was the first to report the incident, saying that Burress had spent the night in a hospital but that the injury was not considered life-threatening.

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, who co-wrote a book with Burress this year, reported that the bullet “grazed” a leg, and that the injury might keep Burress out of action for two weeks.

Nearly three days after accidentally shooting himself in the thigh at a Manhattan nightclub, Giants receiver Plaxico Burress turned himself in at a New York City police precinct in midtown Manhattan on Monday morning to face charges of criminal possession of a handgun. His lawyer, Benjamin Branfman, emerged moments later and said Mr. Burress would “deal with the legal process in a responsible and professional manner.”
