Marlon Wayans’ New TV Show “Funniest Wins” Debuts June 20th On TBS

Written by Nigel D. / 06.20.14

This summer, TBS is teaming up with comedy heavyweight and WhatTheFunny.com founder Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie, In Living Color, The Wayans Bros.) on Funniest Wins, a new competition series that’s all about the laughs. In the show, Wayans, along with some of his comic friends and family, put the comics through the wringer to find the funniest multi-talented comedian working today. On Funniest Wins, the goal is simple: Make people laugh, or go home. The new series will open with 10 comedic competitors of various types, who range in age from 25 to 40. Each week, guided by Marlon Wayans and a rotating crew of guests, they will learn the ins and outs of a particular comedy style, and then put that knowledge to the test in that week’s main competition. At the end of each round on Funniest Wins, one comic will be sent packing. Then at the conclusion of the season, the winner will receive a $100,000 cash prize and the chance to star in an online series for Wayans’ WhatTheFunny.com.

Tonight at 10pm est/9c Marlon Wayans’ new show, “Funniest Wins,” premieres on TBS. I got a chance to catch the first episode during a special screening this week. I like that the show takes comedians from various aspects of the game like Vine and stand up and puts them all against each other. Every episode comedians are giving challenges testing how funny they really are. I look forward to the episode where they roast Ray J. Check out a trailer for the show below.
