Comedian Katt Williams has been jailed in Georgia on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.

A deputy at the jail in Coweta County, southwest of Atlanta, confirmed Williams was being held there and that a magistrate was expected to set bond at an arraignment Monday afternoon. The deputy did not have access to a police report to provide more details.

The man who slapped Katt Williams spoke to Vibe to tell his side of the story. The man claims Katt Williams was making fun of his outfit which included $5,000 gator boots. This was the man’s response:

So I walked over there and asked [Katt], ‘So what you say? I don’t play that joke shit.’ So he was like, ‘And what?’ He didn’t even admit what he said when I asked him.” The man said he proceeded to pimp slap the pint-sized star of “The Pimp Chronicles.”

After I slapped him, he jumped back and he was still talking and it was some girls holding him back. It was actually some girls in the club grabbing bottles like they wanted to do something to me too, like trying to protect him.

There has been confusion over why Katt Williams got replaced by T-Pain prior to the show, the NY Daily News is reporting:

He really berated one female member of the production company. He launched into a verbal assault on her in front of other people. I mean, he read her the riot act. “Then he left the set and said he wouldn’t return unless she apologized. She wouldn’t. BET and the production company backed her up. Katt wouldn’t come back. Nobody was willing to budge.

I wouldn’t have let my pride get in the way of getting that check and exposure. I took this picture the day after the awards at the bowling alley 300 in ATL. Katt Williams walked in with a mink and three shorties and happened to be playing in the lane right next to me. He didn’t seemed to stressed and was a decent bowler(Lol at one of his chicks cleaning his shoes).
