After rumors of being dropped from Bad Boy, though not publicly confirmed, Dep was forced to fend for himself and face his demons of drugs by doing time on Rikers Island. For many, this was a regular thing to a child of the ghetto, but it was a wake up call that made G Dep put his life in prospective and be accountable for his own actions and inflicting harm to himself.
After doing his time, a sober G Dep was released and is now back on the music scene destined to regain what was a sure thing, his Rap super stardom. Dep is back on track and in the studio working on his new album with heavy hitters like Dame Grease, Ron Browz, Needles, Eazy El Pee, Keez to the city Ron G, Taylor Made and Double Nickelz to name a few. With the release of his new mixtape titled “Deponomics” aka The Hiatus, hosted by mixtape heavy weight DJ E.
