Rapper DMX was sentenced Monday to more than a year of probation, avoiding more time in Arizona jails after spending two years in and out of the state’s legal system.

In the latest incident, he was sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court to 18 months of supervised probation and ordered to pay various fines and fees. He also was credited with time served and was allowed to serve his probation and undergo a counseling program in Florida, where he planned to return.

“Don’t misunderstand me. It’s a beautiful state, it’s a beautiful city. But the powers that be have it out for me. It kind of taints my view,” he said.

DMX, also known as Earl Simmons, may be charged with felony aggravated assault. He’s serving a 90 day sentence for several charges and was placed in lock down earlier this month. FOX 10 has learned that while in lock down, Simmons apparently assaulted a Sheriff’s detention officer. If convicted of these new charges, his probation could be revoked and he could be sentenced to 8 years in prison.

This man has sold over 28 million records and now could be in jail for 8 years smh. He had a rough childhood and I guess never got the right help to deal with it.

Damn he has 8 kids from 3 months to 16 years of age. Hopefully he ends up a pastor and stays out of trouble.

Over hyped, but obviously cursing at a judge won’t help your case.
