Complex: 50 is in a heated battle with Rick Ross, and he’s been know to damage careers in the past. Why do you think he wasn’t really able to dent your armor?
Jadakiss: I really don’t know, besides me knowing that he wouldn’t be able to do it lyrically. He was going to have to spend some money and that wasn’t even going to work, because when it comes to the music, that’s what it’s going to be. You can have a $100-trillion, but as long as I have a studio with producers, I can make something everyday. And the people know what type of quality it’s going to be. He just set that out, because The Massacre needed some fire to sell some units. He did a good job at it.
Complex: It seems like you guys have patched things up. Do you plan to work together?
Jadakiss: It could happen, if it’s good for both parties, and it’s beneficial. I’m a business man too. If it’s going to help me, then we can do it.
West: I’m gonna tell you something about the Paris pic. They was like, some of the people dressed in the outfits, I didn’t check out everybody’s outfit that hopped in the picture with me — I can’t be completely responsible. You go right into my outfit, my outfit is good. And see, like the [Fonzworth] Bentley video, “Everybody,” there was people calling me before we dropped it, like “Man y’all shouldn’t put that out with y’all dancing, man. People gonna say y’all gay!” And another thing is, people are so gay-conscious now. That’s like the whole thing like with the Internet — every day [is like], “Oh I can tell he gay now!” But back in the day, people used to have songs like “Get In That A–” or something like that. Someone would never make a song like that [today] because they’d be like “Whoa! I can’t make no song like that! People gonna call me gay!”
Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Brown and a woman were in a vehicle in L.A. when they became involved in an argument, according to a police statement. After stopping his car, the R&B singer and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance.
When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene, the statement reads. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker, police say.
