Some of the Bravehearts are claiming Freeky Zeeky snitched on people that tried to rob him a few years back. Since one does snitching include telling cops about people that shot you and hit you with a car? Criminals are doing a great job of covering their ass with this, “Stop Snitching,” movement. The funny thing is those same criminals are quick to sell out their accomplices. When you think about it the only people that can truly snitch are criminals.

September 11th 2007, a very hyped historic day in hip-hop that most of us will always remember. Why would we not? It was this day that two of the biggest hip-hop icons released their highly anticipated third albums on a major label. This major event caused blogs, radio shows and even friends to engage in heated discussions over who will reign the king of hip-hop. Everyone had an opinion, even country singer Kenny Chesney, who believes he will end up on the top of the charts. September 11th has become a target date for many rappers as a release date. But before this year, September 11th, was remembered for another historic day in our lives. September 11th, 2001. I can still see the tragedy. The burning towers in New York and people falling out of windows high in the air. I still remember the pain, agony and sorry I felt for everyone involved. Apparently, I am one of the few that do remember. On September 11th, 2007, 50 cent and Kanye West had everyone’s eyes and ears. I was disappointed that neither artist, especially 50 cent who represents New York, failed to speak about the tragedy. September 11th, 2007 was solely about album sales, money and egos. Not one moment of silence from 106 & Park (filmed in New York) who spent hours hosting both artists. As the two artists appeared on every major television and radio show throughout the day, there was no mention of the lives we lost on September 11th, 2001. Although this is primarily a hip-hop website, I do not see how we can ignore the biggest tragedy in hip-hop’s birth place. Today, hip-hop is critized by almost everyone including politicians and journalists. I see a missed oportunity by two of the biggest hip-hop icons today, to show people that hip-hop is more than money, record sales, and violence.

RealTalkNY talked to David Banner recently about his new album, “Greatest Story Ever Told,” and Hip Hop. He was in a joking mood until I brought up people hating on the south. Banner adamantly stated, “You know most niggas that bitch and moan, be broke niggas that can’t sell records. 50 Cent ain’t trippin, Jay-Z ain’t trippin, is he? He’s making money.” David Banner felt that people need to worry about making their own music successful instead of criticizing others. He also felt that New York rappers didn’t show Southern artist the same love they were given. David Banner went on to say:

Work on you, work on your life, if we spent as much time on our own material and our own songs, we wouldn’t have to worry about another nigga. If niggas feel the south ain’t doing what they want them to do, spend some more time on your shit and make your people blow up.

South niggas was the only niggas that always put everybody on their shit. We put New York niggas on our shit, but then when they make their records, you don’t hear us on their records. When they put their records out, after they suck up or fame and come and get our fans, they get on their record and don’t give us that kind of shine.

Make a hit record and stop bitching.

Homey got a point, some people are just bitter. Makes me think of the haters on this site lol.

Am I the only one noticing the bias in the media? This chick Lindsay Lohan stay in trouble but the media seems real sympathetic for her time after time. In her most recent incident she was arrested for drunk driving and drug possession(Link). Instead of holding her accountable for the the bs she is doing, they focus on if can she get her career popping again and blame it on her parents and friends. My thing is if it was a rapper like 50 caught with cocaine we would never hear the end of it. Bill O’Reilly would dedicate a show on how 50 Cent is a role model and is influencing kids to do drugs. Lindsay Lohan has millions of girls looking up to her, so why doesn’t she get the same kind of criticism? Some people may say it is because she is a young female, but to me it’s the media always ready to attack anything related to Hip Hop. Would Lil Kim get the same kind of coverage after a drug arrest?, I don’t think so.

Thoughts?

People not seeing my point. What is being, “dark skin.” Is there some color chart to decide if a woman is brown enough to make the cut? A woman is not light skin and not dark skin then what do you call her? Where does it stop and why do people even care. If a girl is fine, she is fine, I don’t say oh she is fine for a dark skin woman, that would be idiotic. Instead of making sarcastic comments, which have no purpose, send in suggestions. That is what I am saying people. Instead making comments like the one above and saying the woman aren’t dark enough for you, simply make a suggestion, I always listen to what people on this site say.

For real, we in America have a tremendous problem with guns and fire-arm caused murderes. Why is it so ridiculously easy to attain a fire-arm? I was watching “Bowling for Columbine” by Michael Moore and I am extremely upset that we have yet another case of innocent people dead. Chris Rock once suggested that bullets should cost $5000, and I am thinking it might be a good idea. We have to do something! All these politicians and news channels make me sick. They keep sending their condolences and deepest prayers…they need to get the guns off the streets and out of Wal-Marts. What do you think?

I don’t think the guns will ever get off the streets. In NY its real funny, there is basically no way to legally own a gun. You need to prove you carry around $10,000 on a daily basis to be able to get one. With that said, everyone still has a gun. What is the point of stopping people who want guns legally to protect themselves, when all the criminals already got some. Some people argue giving people guns won’t solve crime, damn that, I want a fair chance in these streets. But yea it’s a lost cause at this point, the streets are flooded with guns and people with trigger happy fingers.

From One Of RealTalkNY’s readers:

I’m chilling, dancing with this girl for a couple hours, getting real intimate and such. End of the night comes and this girl would rather be with some dude who looks more like a girl than she does. Long hair, girlish figure, I think he even had eyeliner. Now, I’m not about to ditch my hoodies and Timbs to try and go after shorty looking like a female. This “dude looks like a lady” shit is starting to be a big problem and same goes for the tight clothes wearing hipster kids. I’m not understanding this trend and I am not about to start wearing tight jeans. Do girls really dig this shit?

Hmm, some will say it’s time for you step your game up, while other may feel women are crazy. Maybe it is time for you hit up some different clubs and see what the scene is like. I think woman go through phases, they will like thugs for a while, than cat’s like prince, and who knows what is next. I don’t know how old you are, but after a while you need to put the Timbs and hoodies down once in a while and get some more mature gear. The simple truth is, when your in a club your judged completely off of looks. So I say change the clubs you go to and make some adjustments.

Thoughts??? (I want to hear what woman have to say)
