Kanye West Testing Out New Tracks On The General Public

We missed our flight and had to wait a couple of hours in the lounge,” says Lewis, whose second solo album, Acid Tongue, is scheduled for release on Sept. 23. “I noticed Kanye West was waiting for the same flight. He looked over and said, ‘Excuse me, would you mind listening to my new track?’ And so he put his headphones on my head and I listened to two of his new songs. He had no idea who I was. I guess he was doing research.”

Pharrell Set To Take Part In Microsoft’s New Marketing Campaign

After only two weeks Microsoft will stop teasing you as the company begins the next phase of an ambitious — and risky — $300 million campaign intended to make over its tarnished image.
Mr. Gates makes a cameo appearance in the new Microsoft spots, along with celebrities like the actress Eva Longoria, the author Deepak Chopra and the singer Pharrell Williams. (Mr. Seinfeld is gone, at least for now.)

Can 50 Cent Win A Round 2 Against Kanye West?(US Sales)

Another moment in the show that had everyone talking was when 50 had fun with Kanye West, doing his own rendition of “Love Lockdown.” Yayo said the crew was just having a good time and that they would welcome another SoundScan showdown with Mr. West. Kanye’s 808’s & Heartbreak and 50’s Before I Self Destruct are due in December, one week apart from each other.

“That’ll be fun,” Yayo noted. “In my eyes, I don’t think Kanye will never be bigger than Fif, no matter what his numbers do.”

Joe Budden’s, “Padded Room,” Has Been Pushed Back

Due to complications with the physical product, “Padded Room,” Joe Budden’s highly anticipated sophomore album through industry innovators Amalgam Digital, has been pushed back from October 28th 2008 to February 24th 2009.

“Though I’m not happy about it being pushed so far back, I do understand the method behind the madness. We’ve got an album I’m extremely proud of and a lead single that Amalgam Digital and I are both very happy with, but for those of you who are just as anxious as I am, I apologize,” said Joe Budden.

Always loyal to fans, Joe Budden and Amalgam Digital have decided to release “The Halfway House,” a digital-only album featuring 14 brand new songs on October 28th as an intermediary album in place of “Padded Room”.
