R.I.P. To The Def Jam V.P. Shakir Stewart
Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir Stewart, who replaced Jay-Z at the helm of the label and signed such artists as Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, died Saturday (November 1). According to reports, he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Further details were not available at press time.

I don’t really like posting about things like this but since he was such a high level executive at Def Jam, I guess it should be posted. R.I.P. to a man who had a great career and played a role in the careers of Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Ciara & Beyonce.
Lupe Fiasco Announces, “LupEnd,” Will Be A 3 Disc Set
Lupend.blogspot.com is reporting that Lupe Fiasco announced his next album, “LupEnd,” will have three discs. Each disc has its own name, Everywhere, Nowhere & Down Here. When Lupe Fiasco talked to RealTalkNY, he said this album may be his final release.
