Honoring LeBron James’s current NBA2K14 game cover, Nike Basketball created a limited edition 2K14 version of the LEBRON 11. Limited to 2,014 pairs, gamers channeled their inner LeBron James as they competed in the game. The LEBRON 11 is the first-ever physical basketball shoe that could be earned through game play.

EARNED, NOT GIVEN

In order to unlock the shoe, NBA2K14 gamers had to reach several milestones during their in-game journey that included winning 60 games and creating a signature shoe in the Nike Innovation Kitchen within the game. Reaching the milestones took approximately 80 hours.

One of the most iconic and beloved Air Jordan models of all time, the Air Jordan 11 followed MJ’s insight of bringing a formal look to the court, using patent leather for the first time in an athletic shoe. This low version features the exact performance and design elements of the original — patent leather with mesh uppers, carbon fiber and subtle pops of Concord — in a new sleek silhouette. Get yours May 3 on Nike.com (10am EDT/7am PDT).

At the Manhattan event last month, one young vendor turned away $98,000 in cash for his Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” sneakers, designed by Kanye West and signed by the artist himself onstage at the Nassau Coliseum in February.

“I know I could buy a house with this kind of money,” said the vendor, Jonathan Rodriguez, 18, of Deer Park, N.Y., who said he planned to enlist in the Air Force. “But I’m a huge Kanye West fan. I can just work to get the money. The only way I’m selling them is if there is a reason that I need to sell or I’m offered life-changing money.”

Common Nature “Tomorrow And Forever” Ad Campaign

Written by Nigel D. / 04.01.14

Created in 2012 by New York City native Salcedo, Common Nature’s creative aim has been set on redefining and refining men’s street wear: merging urban taste with the elegance of high-fashion. True to its roots, Common Nature manufactures its pieces in New York City’s garment district and draws inspiration from urban culture of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Today, collections includes classic street wear—hoodies, sweaters, tees, button ups, and tailored joggers—all elevated to fit in with luxury and black-tie attire, a controversial feat. The brand focuses on simplicity and elegance, yet draws from avant-garde and high-end couture: integrating expert tailoring, use of high quality fabrics, and immense attention to detail with a minimalist street style. As its name implies, Common Nature seeks to embody the effortless or common, and transform it into luxury—an oxymoron birthed on the streets of New York and nursed by the innovation of the 80’s.
