ABOUT YOUNG LIFE

Young Life is a 20 year-old rapper from the streets of Compton. Although he is young, he has a street mentality and credibility beyond his years. Growing up in an environment surrounded by violence and gangs, he found his refuge in music. Young Life prides himself on not only being a rapper, but a story-teller. Never the one to write down his verses, he is naturally lyrically talented and is often compared to the likes of Jay-Z.
Life got the opportunity to work with some of hip hop’s most talented MC’s and producers when he became a member of The Game’s Black Wall Street team. With a popular mixtape to his name “Compton Life”, Life has proved his lyrical ability and built a strong fan base. What makes him different from many of the other rappers in the game, is his SWAGGER. With a good combination of confidence and talent behind him, Life is on his way to being on top of the game. Young Life is currently signed to Far West Entertainment/Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group.

Its been a long time since a young artist stepped onto the scene with his own style and flavor, one that is not generic and pushes the threshold of quality and performance to a new level.

The fans have been long awaiting someone that would bring the true meaning of music back into the limelight. To answer the desperate cries of the Hip Hop hopefuls for true style and charisma comes – Young Juggz. Young Juggz is the epitome of versatility…which is what the name implies.

The Far Rockaway native credits his unique flow and delivery to his Jamaican parentage and to those he considerers the pioneers of his craft; such as the Notorious B.I.G, LL Cool J and Tupac Shakur.

is melodic style coupled with lyricism in its truest form speaks for itself. Be it Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B or otherwise, Young Juggz can create it with unparalleled skill.

In his own words Toung Juggz says:"I’m not your average rapper, I consider myself a ‘Hip-Pop’ artist, I make music to appeal to the masses both young and old, and that’s what a lot of music is missing right now."

His music was debuted on the "Star and Buckwild" morning show where the ever critical Star said, "I like this kid…he’s good." From then the music has run constantly and caught the ears of Wendy Williams who also played Young Juggz music.

Currently, Jugglez has a few full length music videos in constant rotation on public access television, including his new smash single "Another Lover."

Apart from that, Jugglez is always in the studio, constantly cranking out what we expect to be the music that changes the game. To date, Young Juggz has co-written songs with/for many artists such as Chris Brown, Shaggy, Elephant Man, and more.

Young Juggz has also gained the interest of international fans by catapulting up the urban charts in London, Germany and Jamaica. In the summer of 2008 he is set to embark on his long awaited, two month club tour, which will kick off in Germany before heading over to Greece.

Yung Juggz is surrounded by music professionals from every genre of music and all have predicted the same thing–he is the next big thing.

There are too many “Kings” in Hip-Hop. Just about every other artist in the Rap Game has tried to claim the title, most of them don’t seem to realize that there is someone who will rightfully inherit the Throne. It is not something you claim, it is something that is given to you. And when the time comes, the Next King will already be entitled to it”. So until then, I’m just here 2 earn my RESPECT! -GaTa G.E.D.

GaTa started earning his Lyrical respect early on when he started to display his rhyming back in High School. He quickly earned a reputation in and around the streets of L.A as the one to watch for. As a Student of the Rap Game, GaTa is out to prove himself amongst rap’s elite population. “I like lyrical MC’s, where the lyrics are their best gimmick. I came up under Biggie, 2 Pac, Jay-Z, and Nas,” he says. His appreciation for the culture and pioneers is vivid throughout his material. In 2005 GaTa ran into a highly talented Young Rapper who goes by the name of TYGA. The two of them collaborated on different underground projects to prepare themselves for what is yet to come. Both of them refused to join any other Rap Stables that recruited them, because they had a vision of their on. So in 2006 G.E.D Inc. was established and now this powerful Rap Foundation is getting ready to make its mark on the Industry’s territory.

Wake the neighbors! Sound the alarm! The streets are going to be set on fire with the debut album by hip hop duo R. City, on Konlive/Geffen Records. With R. City’s work behind the scenes, penning songs for Akon, Usher, Mario, Sean Kingston and Rodney Jerkins, to Nicole Scherzinger and the Pussycat Dolls, Jesse McCartney, Macy Gray, Ashlee Simpson and Enrique Iglesias, they’ve been able to produce an inferno of anticipation amongst the industry and the streets for the release of their album “Wake the Neighbors.”

“Losin It,” is a cool track, what are your thoughts on the group?

More info on Akon’s new group below.

Hailing from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, R. City (comprised of brothers Theron a/k/a DaSpokesman and Timothy a/k/a Don’t Talk Much) have created a sound that blends Caribbean twangs of consciousness and struggles of street and island life coupled with hip-hop/pop appeal. They realized their immense talent and started honing their craft at an early age. By the time they reached 10 and 11 they were winning local talent shows and used their prize money to pay thefamily’s household bills. Plain and simple, R. City was born to be on stage. “We definitely are first and foremost artists more than anything else,” states Timothy. “We were getting a lot of love from the people in the streets from us performing.”

Fast forward to their late teens; by the time they graduated high school; they had a big choice to make. Their parents said “continue in school and we will find a way to help you, continue music and you will need to fend for yourselves and become men.” They obviously chose the latter and came to the U.S. to test their potential for “making it.” “We’ve always been writers for ourselves. Then me and my brother were like, let’s try to write for other people”, states Timothy. Landing in Atlanta after a short stint in Miami, they began penning songs for other artists and placed their first song “The Rain” for Akon via his DJ, Benny D. In a short time, they’ve amassed a staggering number of tunes for renowned artists. “We built a lot of relationships, got cool with a lot of people, networked and found ourselves in a lot of doors we never thought we were going to enter. When we started doing the writing thing, everybody started messing with us,” says Timothy.

Aggressive and hungry tactics – play up their strengths. Theron is a bundle of energy that bounces off the walls; their dichotomy creates a splendid musical union. “We’re night and day but we mesh perfectly together,” says Theron, the soulful Yin to his brother Timothy’s Hip-Hop flavored savvy. The fact that their music is a genre bender isn’t lost on the siblings. “Give us the opportunity to be ourselves because what we doing, nobody has ever done.” It’s never been about money with us, to be honest… Trust me; nobody is going to outwork us. We don’t drink or smoke, or go to clubs. So when people in the club partying, we work, when they sleep, we work, when they work, we work. So at the end of the day, we are going to get more work done than anybody”, says Timothy

That said, their eclectic debut Wake The Neighbors is anything but a work in progress. They are clearly masters of lyric, melody, harmony, hooks, and performance. Their first single ‘Losin’ It’ smoothly tells a story of unexpected lust/love. Their St. Thomas upbringing is also evident on the Madd Scientist produced, Calypso influenced party anthem ‘Wave’, Theron says “as soon as we did it we called Akon. When he heard it, he went crazy and set up a meeting with Jimmy Iovine and Ron Fair to hear the song.” Then there’s the reality checking hip-hop banger ‘Stop Lying’ produced by Shondrae (Ludacris). It challenges the hip hop community to stop boasting about how they are living and things they are doing because it just isn’t true. It can be described as ahard but positive song.

R. City is about a musical movement. Wake The Neighbors is a perfect blend of all the right elements and will be highly regarded and respected as R. City aim to change the face of music.“It’s hard to explain our music because what we are doing is something that is rarely done.” Once you experience them and their live show, you are sure to leave a fan. Go ahead, put in the cd….Wake The Neighbors. It is guaranteed to bang hard enough to keep any neighborhood party going all night long.

When you listen to a Square Off track you are sure to hear the tight rhymes, the undeniable flow, and hooks that stay with you long after your iPod has been turned off. Of course these are all elements you’d expect from a group out of Harlem… then again expectations are inevitable when your father is known as the “World’s Greatest Entertainer.”

Growing up in the family of Hip-hop pioneer Doug E. Fresh has given Square Off a unique perspective and appreciation for the history of the music they love. Their self-described “New Old School” style is their way of keeping old-school alive, paying homage to the history of Hip-hop while combining it with a new flavor all their own. Though still students of the game, these young motivators are quickly becoming teachers for the next generation of Hip-hop fans and artists alike.

Even the group’s name has historical ties. The name “Square Off” was given to them when they were only 9 and 10 years old by the late Jady Walker aka K. Superior who was a close friend Doug E. Fresh and often performed with the Get Fresh Crew.

Each member of Square Off brings their own unique style to the group. Trips is the smooth ladies man with a bit of a street edge, Slim grew up in Brooklyn, adding an other dimension to his outgoing personality and street flavor, and Nick Gleamz is laid back with a voice that represents that classic Harlem sound. Along with their DJ CMS, these characteristics make up the four elements of Square Off.

The teenage rap group has opened shows for Lil Scrappy, Romeo and Doug E. Fresh. They have performed twice at both the Apollo, Tom Joyner’s Events at Walt Disney World, and several times at Mount Vernon Week and Harlem Week. Square Off has been featured in XXL (Lil Wayne Cover) and the premiere issue of Hy Grade Magazine.

The first single “WE RIDIN” is a hot record produced by DJ CMS and features KRAYZIE BONE on the track it has a down south feel while still staying true to their New York style. “It’s a track that can be played anywhere and everyone will feel it”, states group member Gleamz.

Plans for the future include starting their own record label, creating a clothing line and establishing a foundation for a non-profit school of music where future generations can go to learn aspects of the industry including writing, engineering, producing, etc.

Being the sons (Trips and Slim) and the brother-in-law (Gleamz) of the World’s Greatest Entertainer and originator of the human beat box, these young men have a lot to live up to and undoubtedly expectations run high. A few things are certain… you can expect them to work hard to earn their place amongst the hip-hop heavyweights, you can expect them to uphold the high musical and performance standards set by Doug E. Fresh, and you can expect to be hearing a lot more from Square Off in the near future and for many years to come.

Remo – Runnin Home

Remo – Sweet

Remo – Remeber The Time

Remo Green was born November 2, 1989, in South Carolina and began his career as a model and actor for commercials, products, and TV shows nationwide. After discovering his natural born talent, and seeing some success, his dad made an urgent decision to move the young star, his sister, and his mom to Manhattan, New York to further pursue Remo’s destiny with music, while he stayed back in their hometown to fund the dream. After just a few months of auditioning for gigs, Remo landed the role of Simba, in the blockbuster hit Broadway Musical The Lion King and was able to work his way into bigger and better contacts.

More on Remo below, thoughts on his music?

After the stint with Lion King — it slowed way down and the family endured a heart-breaking journey of homelessness… dreaming about a superstar lifestyle while the family secretly lived in their car, behind a hotel for four months. As time progressed his dad got things back up to speed and Remo was able to continue auditions and start to adapt more to the New York lifestyle.

He eventually landed a management contract and modeling contract already in hand, he’s already appeared in NBC’s television drama Third Watch, Law & Order, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, LIVE tapings with Disney, Nickelodeon, and a major role in a feature film “Paid In Full” starring Mekhi Phifer. And after all of that, Remo says “I love acting, I still do it…but when I wake up — I wake up writing music. Melodies just come to me.”

By the time Remo was 17 he was making contacts from the church he attended in Brooklyn, and hooked himself up with some top producers in the city. Almost every major producer in New York has asked about him. The inside buzz on the streets from Brooklyn to Harlem has already landed him in the studio with multi-platinum artists like Doug E. Fresh, Ryan Leslie, Rodney Jerkins aside from his usual frequent sessions with Sony and Atlantic recording artists and his project with StarTrek’s artist, Teyana Taylor.

Grammy award winning Producer Troy Taylor (Boyz II Men, Brian Mcknight Whitney Houston, B2k, Pretty Ricky) recently called him into the studio to work on a project and said, “Of all the artists I know, Remo is in his own category…because he loves music the way a superstar would… and I’ve only seen that a couple of times in my career.”

Remo has been working in the studio with top writer/producers like Ryan Leslie (Cassie, Diddy) and Howard Britt (Troy Taylor/Patti Labelle) and is starting to book shows for his new instant smash single “RUNNIN’ HOME” slated for a September 15th official release. After hearing only a few snippets of Remo’s forthcoming project, his managers have booked meetings with Major recording labels and gained the attention of Matthew Knowles (manager of megastar: Beyonce’). With his excessive addiction to learning about music and help from the music industry’s top executives, this kid is going to be bigger than the typical R&B street corner sound that would be expected.

In his track “RUNNIN’ HOME”, co-written with the help of his dad and his producer Howard Britt, the singer/model/songwriter talks about the realization of almost losing one of the most beautiful girl’s he’s ever met and running back to her to show her the full appreciation she deserves.

For booking and more information contact Go Green Management or Howard Britt Studios:
EMAIL: remoiscoming@gmail.com
PHONE:347-228-4134

Henok Achido grew up in a musical home in the Southern parts of Sweden, purchasing his first vinyl with his weekly allowance at the age of 8. At the age of 17, Henok featured on number one hit single and grammy nominated song ‘Mina Hundar’ by Swedish rapgroup Fattaru, which resulted in numerous performances in most Scandinavia countries but although the outcome and response for Henok was massive, he still didnot feel satisfied with the mindstate and lacked maturity and the preparation to be the complete musician. After, Mina Hundar, Henok dropped out of highschool and moved to Stockholm to continue record and feature songs but still didnot feel that his timing was right. Late 05 and after creating several high quality songs and being mostly pushed by his younger brother to create music, he decided to take the big step in to the light of music. Today, Henok Achido is known for being a bilingual artist plus the combination of unique flow, determination, cockiness & inventive word play describes Henoks’ main characteristics best.

Recent artists mimic the previous successes of past music individuals,
who offer no form of self identity to the music industry, “they seem to
be afraid of themselves”, says Theo. Coming from a musical background Theo is also a well known DJ. His passion as a DJ helped him grow a strong appreciation for music, “in the
80’s & 90’s you had people like RUN from Run DMC, Dr. Dre, Erick Sermon
& Jermaine Dupri who all, besides being artists, DJ’d as well as
produced, it wasnt an issue for them. We also have that now with artists
like Hi-Tek, Kanye West & Lauryn Hill who all are multi-talented.”

Music that evokes emotion, passion & is embraced by the masses is what

The Notorious B.I.G.- “The What”

The story of Biggie Smalls is the ultimate urban Black narrative: He went from ashy, to classy. The life of Christopher Wallace tells of a popular sentiment shared by many U.S. immigrant families: wanting more than just getting by; wanting to get all the riches this country has to offer. It is this story, this desire, and one of the most gifted lyrical skill sets of all-time that allowed “the nigga Biggie Smalls” to turn into “the Black Frank White.”

B.I.G. was never afraid to bring you the grimiest stories from the streets, with the most graphic imagery he could conjure up (peep “Somebody’s Got to Die” or “Long Kiss Goodnight”). But even while being gruesome he could make you laugh (who could say, “I shot Maxie Priest at least twelve times in the chest”). He could bring the ladies’ man swag that every kid who grew up on Blacksploitation films fiended for (didn’t it look like Big was resurrecting Ron O’Neil or Goldie in the “Big Poppa” video?).

But what gets Biggie remembered by many as the greatest rapper of all time was his lyrical ability: the skill to tell a story, rhyming words together cleverly on an instrumental, and all while staying on beat (I figured I define lyricism since we so rarely encounter it in mainstream Hip-Hop today). The inventiveness of the rhymes in “Unbelievable” (dude called himself “the triple beam dream”), the poignancy of the lyrics in “Everyday Struggle,” the rawness in “Who Shot Ya,” the realness in the words of “Suicidal Thoughts,” or the superior story-telling in “I Got a Story to Tell,” these are the abilities that puts B.I.G. in the pantheon of rap greatness and in every single argument over who’s the best MC’s… (Biggie, Jay-Z, or Nas???)

Or has it? Do the rhymes, abilities, and stories of Biggie still resonate with today’s Rap fan; especially with today’s young Hip-Hop listeners. Do kids who “Get Lite” or “Hyphy” want to hear about “Playa Haters” or “Goin Back to Cali?”

This question of Big’s reputation today becomes all the more odd considering the fact that he was among the originators of bringing (and talking about) upscale fashion and culture to the Hip-Hop scene. But can Versace shades, Girbauds jeans, Coogi sweaters, trips to room 112 at the Parker Meridian, Kangol hats, Cristal, “Cubans with the Jesus piece,” or “Throwing Rollies in the Sky” match today’s True Religion’s, Mauri’s, Red Monkey’s, Patron, or Prada shoes?

Are the stories he talk about still relevant? Is the everyday life of today’s young Hip-Hop listener filled with crime, stick-up kids, poverty, down South hustling trips, guns, and misogyny?

It might seem like the answers to these questions are easy, but perhaps we shouldn’t be so quick to respond. I think maybe we should look a little closer at the realities of life for young people of color in urban America today. We should also be looking harder for Hip-Hop artists that are telling us this reality. And we should try the hardest to promote the ones that do it at a high skill level; those who invoke the memory of the talent and ability of Biggie (and encourage them to exceed that level). As a Hip-Hop community, is that a voice we want to silence?

Perhaps one of the greatest ironies is as we celebrate and remember the eleventh anniversary of the passing of one of Black urban America’s greatest voices, March 9th will now also be known as the day one of the greatest shows to ever convey the contemporary inner-city Black experience ended. Over the past six years, “The Wire” has detailed the story of urban America on television as skillfully Biggie did in Rap music. But now, that story will be over as well.

As we approach the end the twenty-first century’s first decade, we are becoming farer removed from that time; and creating a generation farer removed from that music… possibly even that reality

I know for older Hip-Hop heads it must be difficult to hear, but:
