Grammy Award-winning rapper T.I. walked out of a federal court on $3 million bond on Friday two weeks after he was arrested in a weapons case that could see him jailed for 30 years.
“You are going to be under home incarceration that is going to be governed by an active GPS (Global Positioning System) at your cost,” Baverman told T.I., warning him not to have any contact with potential witnesses in the case.
This is going to be long drawn out case.

Surrounded by record executives and 35 of his relatives, rapper T.I. entered a not guilty plea Friday to gun charges, but a federal judge said he won’t rule until next week on whether T.I. can remain free on a bail that could total $2 million in cash.
Baverman said he is concerned that Harris might be a flight risk. He said he wants to look into the monitoring service recommended by the defense attorney, and will ask for $2 million in cash for the bail bond, and for Harris to pledge the equity in both his houses, valued at $1.5 million.
Atlantic Records offered up to 2.2 million for T.I.’s bail. Right now he’s praying to be put on house arrest, good luck.

Somewhere along the way, a cadre of young black men and women began glorifying violence, misogyny and thuggishness, accepting incarceration as inevitable, resigning themselves to lives on the margins of mainstream society. They created a thug culture that has been commodified — celebrated in music and movies, sold to poor adolescents in wretched neighborhoods as well as affluent teenagers in upscale communities.

Someone requested this video get it’s own post. No T.I. was not collecting guns, he was looking for ammunition. So what reason would he have for these? This is enough weapons to make Al Qaeda jealous.
Basically things are looking horrible for T.I., supposedly he paid his security guard money to purchase guns illegally. Not some regular pistols, but guns capable of killing a small village. The body guard is a complete fool and asked a legal gun dealer about getting an unregistered machine gun. He then falls for a trap by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and is arrested. He proceeds to snitch on T.I. and gets him set up to get arrested. They also search T.I.’s house and find even more guns.
The case against T.I. at this point looks pretty solid, it seems like it would take a miracle for him not to get any time in jail. My question is why does T.I. feel the need to have machine guns? You got money, just get some security guards and live the good life. How can you try to be defending Hip Hop on BET when your buying illegal guns?
Video of the guns T.I. was trying to buy and owned at his house, the official press release about the case and affidavit for the case are below.
Damn Prodigy just got 3.5 years for a gun charge.

T.I. & Ludacris performed together at V-103’s V-Jam the other day. The two have been feuding for a while, throwing shots on songs and T.I. got into a physical altercation with Luda’s manager. It appears the two have put there past differences to the side and will get back to what really matters, making good music.
