50 Cent’s Comments On Alicia Key’s, “Gangsta Rap,” Comments

“If she don’t like that, (then) I don’t like that classical music s— she be doing. At some point she’s playing some s— that don’t relate to me. … We listen to it and try to figure out why people actually enjoy it. I am trying to enjoy it. That statement changes my perception of Alicia Keys totally. But the magazine is standing behind it, which means they probably have a tape of her in conversation saying it. It’s just not really a bright comment anyway.”

But I don’t think that [her] classical sh*t is cool. I don’t give a f*ck if you can classically play the piano. I haven’t been classically trained, because my upbringing, nobody put me in front of a piano at that time. If they did, I would know how to do it as well as she does. I could learn how to play the piano if I was passionate about it right now. That’s obviously my perspective evaluating what she does, and I could f*cking care less about the sh*t.

“I’m a Cancer,” 50 added. “I’ll pull back and I’ll cut you off — I don’t care — once it gets to the point where it doesn’t make sense to me.”

“We feel the same way,” Banks said. “If 50 gets resistance, we get the same resistance.”

50 Cent & Universal Face A Lawsuit For Promoting A Gangsta Lifestyle

The mom of a teen boy who says he was smacked around by Tony Yayo, a member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit posse, is suing the rap stars for a big bucks payout. The suit by angry mom Cynthia Reed also targets Fletcher, several record companies and 50 Cent, who wasn’t in New York during the street scrap and not charged.

Update:

Hip hop mogul 50 Cent, Universal Music Group and several of its record labels were sued on Wednesday for promoting a “gangsta lifestyle” by a 14-year-old boy who says friends of the rapper assaulted him.
The attack on Rosemond was intended to “promote and maintain Yayo and 50 Cent’s ‘gangsta’ image,” which was “promoted, marketed and advertised” by record labels.
