welcome to rap music!!! hahahah its competitive for real!!
Joe Budden’s gonna be #1.
Kendrick Lamar is the #1, no doubt.
By the way, how the fuck can Nas be higher than Big Sean???? THAT”S BLASPHEMOUS.
Big Sean Detroit Mixtape >>>> Nas Life is Good Album.
Period. and let’s not even talk about Buzz..
Sean should really be #5 above Drake.
Drake didnt have an album just like Sean, and His features were no where near Big Sean.
@thechainremains. Your fucking stupid. Nas’s life is good is a classic, already. Your a joke, and clearly 15 years old. I hope Big Sean dont have sophomore slump, and Hall of Fame is fire, but Big Sean aint no Nas. And FYI Take Care was Album of the Year in 2012. What was Finally Famous? HAHA. Fucking Drake got Hova. Clown. Learn your music before you speak dude
First of All im 28.
Life is good was a FLOP to tha 10th power. Anyone who says that’s a good album, clearly is just either a Nas Groupie or they just are desperately looking to say an album is good based off of weak production and mediocre lyrics..
Hip Hop is Dead, God’s Son, Streets Disciple and Nigger >>> Life is Good.
Now.. Big Sean delivered ‘Mercy’ as well as ‘Till I Die’ for Chris Brown, and to say that those 2 singles alone were not 2 of the top 5 tracks of 2012, is just a a lie in itself..
Furthermore Drake had ‘ Poetic Justice ‘ and ‘ Amen ‘… Now.. To say that Drake made those two tracks hott??? NO. That’s just clearly.. not the case.. Kendrick was the energy on Poetic Justice, so that puts Big Sean over Drake because he didnt have a bigger single..
And as far as Big Sean having a sophmore slump.. You are more attacking him than giving any valid reasons why you feel Nas should be where he is on the list..
Nas did not have a Stronger than Big Sean. Point Blank Period.
yep @chainremains. Sick of these fucking Nas dickriders that dont buy his shit. Get on my fucking nerves.
Kendrick down wit everything because the machine is behind him. I think he deserves it but c’mon…MTV don’t even cater to an urban audience at all until this dumb list comes out.
this is what i keep saying. we need to have that debate. yall niggas dont want no debates yall want whatever u think is the best to not be challenged. if i respect you then i will respect your opinion and maybe u might put me on to something i never wanted to hear because u said its better than this or that.
i want more list so mtv list doesnt have to be the end all be all of hot mc list.
When mtv started they refused to play any black music….they supported apartheid now all these artists are so happy to get recognition from their former enemies……
this is not a list of top mcs….an mc meaning master of ceremony…if it was…currensy…freddie gibbs..jadakiss…styles p…max b…talib…common..would be on the list…this is a list of the TOP 10 MOST COMMERCIAL ARTISTS out right now…
mtv refused to play black music when it started??? where are u getting that from ?
Ery1 gotta step they game to make music that is suppose to evoke feelings. I want albums that i can play all the way thru and wit replay value for me to buy.
This is why kdot sold the most this year n shud be no 1
@thechainremains..Nigga are you stupid? “life is good” Sold 139,000 copies it’s first week with with no promotion! You’re 28? You sound like you’re fucking 12 to say big sean mixtape is better than “life is good”.Nas album was a mature album, and the shit he was talking about on that fucking album held more weight then all the artists you’re naming. And no iam not a nas fan boy! But,to say that he don’t deserve to be on that list, and deserve to be on the #4 spot is fucking crazy!
niggas shouldnt give a fuck about this mtv list, caus clearly they base the rappers off of how hot they was, and not how lyricall or content wise, and flow, skills, etc, thats what rap is about, and if they do judge by skills and originality, most of these clowns wont be in that list specially big sean and future, and ricky d cop
@county of kings I do not know how old you are but when mtv started it was purely music television videos no reality series..shows just music videos 24/7 i am old enough to remember..(late 30s)…
They refused to air black musical artists stating their core audience was rock based this led to protest from david bowie and rick james…mtv however stated that this was not due to racism….funny how things change…todays enemy is tomorrow friend…..if your naive you will believe this if you are not you will know that its good to keep your enemies close…and maybe this is what mtv is doing….
the people who profit off and market black music have no love for black people…and they will commercialize and over advertise any artists who pushes an agenda of self-hate…just look at the list…..o.k kendrick is a great mc…but 2chainz…rick ross…plz
