The Miami Heat are on an record setting winning streak with 23 wins in a row. This is the second longest NBA winning streak in history. The Heat have not lost a game since February 1st. Tracy McGrady told ESPN the Rockets’ 22 game winning streak was more impressive with Yao Ming getting injured during it. Mcgrady also stated, “And we didn’t have three guys making $100 million(Source).” Is Tracy McGrady being a hater or making valid points? Does the Heat’s winning streak show how great of a team they are or how weak and unbalanced the Eastern conference is? I will give the Heat credit, they did beat three of the top 5 teams in the west during the streak. Leave your thoughts below.

hell yea it was more impressive for every reason t-mac stated. the heat have arguably 3 top 10 players on their team. the rockets had an injured roster throughout that run and managed to get on that win streak
agreed!! first off.. there arent any great teams left in the nba period with the exception of maybe 3..OKC, Miami and LA.. NY/SAS wit honorable mentions. secondly, they are playing in a conference where the Hawks consistently get 4th seed in the playoffs with the exception of this year.. that says alot in itself
The Heat are more impressive bc certain teams hate them…they also do not have to win regular season games at the point of their streak like the Rockets did. It should be commended that they actually care to win every game when they already have the best player & a great supporting cast. So many people do not live up to their potential and even the Heat failed at first. Also, those same Rockets lost in the playoffs in the 1st round that year. Even though the playoffs haven’t started this yr, the Heat are the current champa, thus we can more attribute the Rockets streak to luck & the Heat to skill & in games such as the Celtics, Kings, etc during this streak to desire.
McGrady is right because he didn’t have the type of Superstar power that the Heat has to help him. But he is also hating a little bit at the same time. Tmac should have been hitting the gym a little bit more while he was in his prime and maybe he would have had a longer NBA career. Prime T-mac probably gives Lebron the business.
McGrady please man…. Your team never made it out the first round of the playoffs. Bron and wade led both their teams out the first round. Your 22 game winning streak was impressive but stop hating please son. I would be more impressed if Mcgrady can have a streak of playing 82 games without getting hurt.

And as Shane Battier, a player of that Rockets team as well as this Heat team, put it; these streaks are incomparable. The Rockets went on a lucky streak out of nowhere. The Heat have a mark on their backs as every opponent treats the game as their championship game. And then you have the fact that the Heat are at 23 and counting as the Rockets’ peaked and ended at 22. The Heat have faced a couple tough match-ups and come away stronger. Lebron is playing at level we have yet to see in the history of the game. Stop comparing and enjoy the beautiful show it really is.
This is exactly why this Miami Heat team was assembled. They were built to win by these very reasons: to blow out teams by sheer athleticism; to ride one player when he is red hot (Lebron and Wade); to win offensive-marathon battles; to win ugly defensive battles; and to win close back and forth games such as tonight. We may as well sit back and enjoy one of the greatest organizational blueprints being executed to its fullest. We truly are all witnessing history.
