Give it 10 out of 10. I was surprised with the Destiny’s Child reunion. That was cool. Kelly is looking fine as fuck too. I don’t know about that other one Michelle tho. She like to ugly step child.
Anyway, that halftime show…was just that a SHOW. Not a singing contest. Beyonce put on a damn good SHOW. Other than the Prince halftime show, this was the best one in like a decade.
I didn’t mind the song selections, and the dancing was on point.

I couldn’t even make it through the whole video. It was too painful. No talent. Out of synch and random beats that have no rhythm. That doesn’t mean she can’t shake her body and look sexy. She is an attractive woman. And she has a good voice. But she is so out of synch with making real music that it’s impossible to watch.
My whole shelf here is lined with classic soul, blues, funk and other great hits that are legendary in that genre.
I’m serious. You could not pay me a few hundred dollars to go see her. But I would pay a few hundred dollars to go see real talent.
She puts on lingerie and shakes her body. That’s the main show here. And she looks great doing that. But she looks terrible as a package. It’s not music. It’s random bits of entertainment thrown together and marketed as music with fireworks, lightshows and cleavage. And if you went a tad further and took off a little more clothing it would be a strip show. Which is fine. But don’t try to market it off as music. It ain’t.
The light show and pyrotechnics are great too. The underlying issue is that there’s no tune that most folks can wrap around. In twenty years, this performance will never see the light of day again. However, play a classic funk or soul tune from twenty years ago and you will have everyone in the room from age 10 to 70 dancing and singing.
If she wrapped her fantastic voice with a real tune with a real band and a skilled musician she could be great. Close, but no cigar.
That’s the difference between Beyonce and real music.
That’s why I said Jennifer Hudson out shone her. In my opinion Leela James is the most underrated female singer in the game.
