yeah they made the right move, the pick and roll with Nash and Howard is going to be ridiculous, they will play faster and they are skilled enough to pull it off… Defense is the issue but again, there are skilled players on the team so their talent will compensate for lack of defensive schemes..
they said Phil Jackson was looking for a small part in ownership of the Lakers in addition to coaching pay LOL… that is an insane request if true or even anywhere near accurate.

The Lakers went from a defense first coach to an offense first coach. They should have Mike Brown and D’Antoni coach together, then maybe they might get somewhere. I’d be surprised if the Lakers make it out the 2nd round of the playoffs.

@Onblast I hear ya but let’s be real, the pick and roll with Howard and Nash is limited simply because Howard has no outside presence what so ever. Me personally if I was Buss I wouldve chosen Jerry Sloan. No one perfected his team better with the pick and roll better than he did. Perhaps D’Antoni has changed a little and focuses with a lil defense than trying to outscore his opponents bc lets be real with the lakers bench and starter 5, there’s no real shooters. The scary part is that every NBA team now knows that Phil is healthy and he wants to coach again. My guess; if the knicks dont do as well this yr they’ll definitely be gunning for PJ.
im interested to see how this works out cause nash is back with d”antoni with 2 great big men. but then again mike could not coach the knicks so this will be interesting
