It’s trendy to point out how trendy rap is. In the 90s when rap was dominated by street cred no one had an issue with it. I agree that the mainstream is pretty watered down these days, but rather than strive to make a difference people would rather complain about it.
im glad i played this video . cause i wouldve never thought that was bow wow’s perspective on hiphop . i agree with him totally . its crazy nas came out with hip hop is dead how many years ago . now people that where angry with him saying so are saying the same exact thing themselves . haaha MARCO POLO MARCO POLO MARCO POLO ! HAHAHA
atleast he owned up to it
It’s funny how he talks about “trendy” rap when he’s the same dude who went and got a DJ Mustard beat and tried to emulate Tyga on his last single “we in the club”. Then when that flopped he aborted his album.
But, he’s right about hip-hop being trendy. From fun party to gangsta rap hip-hop as always been about trends. It’s just a matter of who’s the hot ticket at the moment. The sad part is that the consumer buys in so easily and accepts this kind of music. There’s no reason why Wayne (who has fallen into the trends) can sell an easy million in a week, but real artist like Nas can barely reach gold in a year. Consumers have no one but themselves to blame for this influx of garbage rap. The labels and artist are just giving them what they want. But let’s face it, if hip-hop went back to content and lyrical based who would be left? We’d lose 95% of the rap game right there (bow wow included).
And lastly, a nice watch doesn’t equate to wealth. Bow wow as a rapper and entertainer should know that better than anyone. Just mind your own and live your life. Stop caring about other people’s pockets.
i agree with you , but i cantr say the lables are giving people what they want . i stay in atlanta . future and two chains aint even go gold but they play them like they went platinum 5x’s . nas did two hundres 50 thousand his first week . had the number one cd out of all genres so why that wouldnt play on a so called hip hop station in Ga . He aint get not one spin ???? alot of people aint even no he had a album out . so niggaz could say niggaz dont wanna hear that , and that kinda shit dont sell . the bulsshit they playing on the readio aint selling at all . but yal force feeding people that shit . if he could sell what furture and 2 chains did in his first week . imagine of what he could of done with some real push . but nah big booty hoe play like this nigga the new biggie or something and aint nobody buy his cd ??? aint these radio stations call theyselves the home of hip hop . its all a scheme for us to think stupid man . Check that lupe fiasco bad bitches !!!! that shouldve been playing everywhere , daughters too !
I agree with just sayin,,The dude is talking about himself because he was one of the biggest trends at one point..But because no one fucking with him he want to talk shit because he aint poppin no more..He needs to shut the fuck up and let niggas get they money..and work at his broke ass job at 106 n park..goodbye..
That dude is BROKE…. I wish he stop saving face and tell his fans the truth. TMZ is no lie. I’ll tell you this much, next time he goes back to court in Dec he better have lawyers that Miss Joie going to hang him for the next 18 years.
Lol… he won’t have that watch for long because once he goes back to court the judge along with the IRS Rep going to make him sell it. Becareful Bow Wow, you started to talk too much all you have to say is…… NO COMMENT.
Bow has long dough you can tell by the “I got $$$ and don’t need to prove it smirk” Stay out that mans pockets focus on expanding your own bands. Somebody call the brinks truck!
