Tough day. I’ve seen coaches as well as friends come and go. No matter how many years I’ve been playing, it’s still hard to deal with. I had a good relationship with Mike and I will continue to have one. I wish him and his family nothing but the best. I spoke with him today and thanked him for all of his hard work and sacrifice.
As a team, we must focus our energy on tonight’s game. We must block out the weight of today’s news and simply do our jobs to the best of our ability.
I’m not sure what direction we are heading in next. All I can do is focus on the here and now.

I knew this was a matter of time after the Lakers started the season 1-4(last place in the West). Well the Lakers won tonight against the Warriors to improve to 2-4. Now there is talk of Phil Jackson coming back. How far do you see the Lakers going this year?
Don’t worry about Mike Brown, he got a $11 million buyout and is some club doing the money dance right now.

nah.. what they need to do is call Mike Krzyzewski and get that man to take this job under some serious consideration.. Offer him $25 million if you have to for 2 seasons..Anyone else other than B-Shaw or Chuck Persons is completely uncivilized… Phil Jackson is not coming back to this shocky mess, let’s face that fact right now. He’s done.

Ah man, I hope Coach K doesn’t leave Duke to coach the Lakers; although I would not blame him for doing so. No matter what….the Lakers cannot higher Coach D’Antoni cause that man does not know how to spell defense and this type of team is not conducive for his style of offense.
The are praying Phil comes back, I think it is a possibility but still too early for me to speculate on his decision. If not Phil then Coach Brian Shaw deserves his shot – he was passed up the first time. This man has put in his dues and has won multiple championships with the Lakers.
All in all, they need Coach Phil Jackson or else they won’t win the ‘ship.
