Listen, I like Lupe’s music and agree with a lot of the subjects that he gripes about but the way he goes about trying to resolve issues is like a damn ignorant ass kid. If the country is that much of a burden to you, be a man and move somewhere else. You don’t want to vote to affect change but you expect change to come. You are the definition of hopeless and depressing, there are examples of black folks are making it in this nation, if those we hold high up are not reaching back properly, then guess what…. that’s our problem as a race, I say this often, I’m glad I’m from VA, some of my black folks from other places are beyond fuckin lost.

People are complaining about how this country goes about enforcing it’s authority are naive. There is not one government, leader, or country that doesn’t engage in shady business. Would you rather live anywhere else? No. At least you have a chance to live comfortably, while complaining, in America. Lupe should go travel abroad and see how things are to get some perspective.
People stop being ignorant,it’s good to be patriotic and celebrate the greatness of your country but also you have to acknowledge it’s flaws.Lupe is doing his job as an artist,he is informing the people about what’s really going on,that doesn’t mean that he hates America.You can see that he did the research and he has been to those places of the country to help.he is providing a public service to educate and that’s what every artist should do.Peace

To believe that we have to put up with shady business from a government that was initially created by the people to serve the people is a level below naive. And unamerican, since that is what 1776 was supposed to be about, supposedly.

You militant, “back to Africa” types like Lupe are really misguided. Sitting around complaining about events that happened in the past is unproductive. Lupe would be better off working inside the framework of the system to bring about real change. Instead he’s going to sit on his hands and bitch and moan which does nothing but annoy people. I would be more impressed if Lupe would brainstorm ways to help the black community but he seems more interested in trying to trick you guys into thinking he’s smart.

I think is awesome that you have a message in your music, but don’t over explain it, it makes it sound like you’re complaining and nagging…You’re not going to change anything, this machine is very well built. I read the comments on here and I think it’s interesting for some people to suggest he move if he doesn’t like this country. That’s not what he said! Some of you people are so brain washed that words automatically go in your ears and get twisted up before they make it to your brain. READ about your country, Read about the banking industry. Assuming you can comprehend it, you might feel like he does. This is also NOT a Color issue. We AMERICANS or I should say you U.S. Citizens are all in the same boat. Unfortunately for Lupe, he is awake. He see’s shit for what it really is, and its lonely when you’re awake while everyone is sleeping and/or sleep walking while talking in their sleep… making no fucking sense and believing their dream is real.
