In my opinion, Maybach Music Group and G.O.O.D. Music or in a battle for the second best Hip Hop label in the game(Cash Money being number 1). Maybach Music dropped, “Self Made Vol.2,” earlier this year and G.O.O.D. Music recently dropped, “Cruel Summer.” While the first week sales of, “Cruel Summer,” more than doubled the sales of, “Self Made Vol. 2,” which would you say was the better album? At this point which label would you call number 2 in the game?

the talent pools for these two labels dont match up.

Honestly I cruel summer was better but it doesn’t seem that way cause it was delivered way different then the thrown. mercy is probably the track of the year.. but as far as albums and the way they were presented to us.. MMG did very very well. The product had that surprise effect and track like all birds just hit you SOOO hard if u fuck with that type of music.. u kinda just wish the mainstream caught on to a rider tune like that before it got old cause that track hands down could have been the biggest club banger I’ve yet to hear in a club..( maybe once or twice in miami)

honestly mmg and young money are competing for numnber 2. good music is on top and from what i see, they’re going to be on top for a while… they simply put out the best music.

What are we basing this off of? If we’re talking about talent then good music would be number 1. They have the deepest roster in the game at the moment. If we’re talking about productivity then it would go to MMG. From the beggining of the summer to the end they have flooded the radio with hits. Self Made V2, Ross’ album, and Meek’s upcoming album have all made an impact. YMCMB doesn’t really factor in. Wayne has fallen off and Nicki has gone full on pop. Drake is the only hot artist they have left and when he gets OVO running he’ll be gone.
G.O.O.D music let see kid cudi, common, John legend, Big Sean and 2chainz at least went gold or plat

YMCMB – drake and nicki are the only one that sold record out of the camp

nicki headlined summer jam. drake on HIS tour. nobody else in these camps have their own tour to headline. they can go wit kanye or ross or wayne or whoever but they dont have they own tours.
