What I took away from this video is that he feels hopeless. He mentions several times that “everything is beyond us [me]“. Then goes on to say that whatever happens is out of your hands. Politics are NOT “beyond you” Kendrick. Especially when you begin to understand how they effect your daily life. When people say they don’t vote what they’re really expressing is that they feel powerless to change the circumstances they are in so they leave it up to someone else- who often is only looking out for themselves and in turn makes their situation worse. Stand up. Take charge. Vote.
And the President doesn’t “control the world” only the United States, Kendrick.

Whenever I hear people talking like this, it makes me feel bad for them. Definitely not belittling the guy, but he is sorely misinformed about the process and people like him are the main reason shit is as fucked up as it is. Voting is not ONLY about the president and to spew this drivel is a detriment to the hood who suffers the most. I don’t understand how people can represent the hood and say they love the hood, but at the same time, lead them down a slippery slope of even further despair.
Read a civics book and research the deaths caused over a vote. Why do you think they are trying to suppress the vote? Why do you think they only wanted land owners to vote back in the day. IT IS IMPORTANT! All you pseudo intellectual entertainers that promote not being a part of the process are leading your people to being a negative part of the system!!!!!!!!!!!!
