2 Chainz keeps Def Jam’s winning streak going, selling 147k records in the first week of sales. This is only 2000 less records than Nas’ latest album, “Life Is Good.” Are you surprised by the numbers? Was the album good?

Good for him. I still see him as Tity Boy, and I never really liked him flow back then nor do I like it now. He’s killed a few verses here and there but as far as a full length 2 chainz song, i dont think i liked any of them on the album. Only ones i found myself liking were Songs that were heavily influenced by other artists on their features.
ALBUM WAS FIRE EVERY SONG WAS DOPE AS FUCK, 2 CHAINZ STAYS WINNING.
BY COMPARISON, BIG SEANS DEBUT ALBUM ONLY SOLD 87K
Shitttt I’m surprised he sold 20 copies.
album was wack. I dont like 2chainz, i liked him as tity boi when he was on the come up. Hi flow, his songs, material was all different. Once he started to get his shine, he changed it up. I know he did it for the $, so not hatin but this is not tity boi. A shame what a record label can do to you. As far as his sales compared to Nas, please stop that, when 2chainz is 20 years and 10 albums(7 platinum) and still relevant, then lets talk about his sales.
its not what the record label does.. its what the fans do!! yall wasnt buying the records when he was just tity boi, so why would the nigga keep trying to run thru a wall.. instead u switch it up, learn to take ya ass around the wall to greener pastures my nigga
i consider him in the same lane as yo gotti, future and waka flocka, he did 100k better then them , and about 10k better then all 3 total. playerz circle did 26,138 1st week and they 2nd album did 8k, so this is huge success for 2chainz
Not surprising because Ye was promoting this dude to the fullest plus he’s hot right now. Disappoint because this is the state of hip hop where Nas and Tity Boi sells the same amount. Life Is Good is going to be a classic some day. 2 Chainz… let’s leave that to imagination.
@NAS4EVA 2 CHAINZ IS ALMOST 40 YEARS OLD U IDIOT
ALSO LOL @ PEOPLE SAYING THEY USED TO LIKE HIM AS TITY BOY, BUT NOT ANYMORE
DUDE IS THE EXACT SAME, THE ONLY PERSON THATS CHANGED IS YOU
Based On A True Story Aka BOATS is an album and term from the band Fat Freddy’s Drop from about 7 years ago.
Jeezy is the best trap artist hands down….not even gna waste my time listening to this shit…what valuable does it give me??
if u dont listen.. dont even speak on it my nigga, u dont even know whats on the album
Dumb Hip Hop fans smh Rick Ross now this
Y’all are too critical…..all forms of hip-hop have it’s lane. For 2chainz take it for what it’s worth, it’s a entertaining form of hip-hop for you to laugh at the clever punchlines and get hype in the clubs (or strip clubs). Trust me I’m a hip-hop purist, my favorite album of year is “Life is good” certified classic…but if I’m in my zone and about to go HAM I might throw in that 2chainz.
@Ronnie Colman, yea, hes like 35 but he hasn’t been relevant 20 years in the game you idiot. Only a idiot thought I meant 20 years old lol, smh.
@thagod, i feel u, hip hop fanatic, n yea in the right zone, club u wanan here that trap music. Im not being critical on him as an artist, im just saying he’s not the same he was when he was on his mixtape grind. He should of dropped Supafly as his single. That birthday cake shh aint 2chainz.
I said he would sell 45k, so congrats to that man
I said he would sell about 60-75k. Never would have thought he’d move more than six figures.
Def Jam buy albums for the artist on their label
2 chainz sucks…. his music is dumb as fuck.
congrats anyway. he made some money for himself….he still sucks
trashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.nas LIFE IS GOD ALL DAY FUCK 2 CHAINZ
At first when I downloaded it illegally i was hyped …. I haven’t listened to it since
Nas and 2 Chainz have two seperate fan bases with different types of ear buds for music and entertainment. I say good for 2 Chainz… he does bring in alot of charisma and the man is hungry so props to him. I’m not a fan personally but comparing him and Nas (even if its just in regards to album sales) is like comparing Jay-Z and Gucci Man…. not on the same BOATS!
