Looks like Aaliyah’s family and Timbaland are not supporting a rumored Aaliyah album produced by Drake. Keep in mind it was only a rumor. After hearing, “Enough Said,” should Drake work with Timbaland and Aaliyah’s family to drop an album?

Rumor or not, it makes that Aaliyah poster with OVO on it look bad all the way around now. I think people would’ve been able to let the boy Drake slide w/o including Timb and Missy in the project (although I think that would not be a good idea) but if this dude were to exec produce an album without getting the family’s blessing and put it out for sale… well that’s a whole other level of fucked upness and way too high on the groupie factor for me.
Can you imagine any successful artist putting an album together (alongside the record company) for someone like B.I.G. or Pac without getting the ok and notifying their family, if Drake doesn’t get the go ahead from the family, then he should definitely scrap this idea especially since he never knew her…. this shit could backfire on his ass.
This is the type of stuff that gets your ass stomped out. Drake needs to stop feeling himself and stay in his lane. No wonder he didn’t answer Common after Com beat the brakes off him in the diss reply. Dude’s a lame…

People here are really butt hurt because he wants to produce an album in remembrance to Aaliyah. If you don’t support, why cry about it.? Just don’t buy the album. Let him do what he does and make music.
Like I said, if timbaland & missy not involved & her family isn’t involved with it, drake need to stop, period. These legends have f”cked up music jus consigning any & everybody these days. I’m still shocked dr dre would make a song with garbage Rick Ross. Or Andre 3000 for that matter. Jus cause a artist hot don’t make them good. All of Aaliyah’s hits she made have & will outlast the majority of female artist out there careers still making music now. Drake stay n your lane. When the hell did he become a executive producer anyway.
I bet drake didn’t want missy and timbos collab effort on the album, and they probably told the family of Aaliyah, that it would tarnish her image and that they shouldn’t give their blessing.
