C’mon man…lets not force it. Wale’s 2nd album sold because of the song “That Way” ft. Jeremih which was featured on Vol. 1 and then he placed it on his album like 7 months later. Lotus Flower was the only decent single off ‘Ambition’ which featured Miguel. The album overall wasn’t good had about 4 good cuts.
The reason why this album sold well was because of the last album had some good cuts off of it. “That Way” ft. Jeremih, “Tupac Back”, “I Ma Boss”. This album didn’t have any good singles for it to outsold the last album and rather anyone else admit it or not, it’s the truth and everyone knows it.
Hell no I don’t see Officer Ricky doing big numbers…no proper single whatsoever. He had about 7 fail singles from October alone.
I know for a fact that Meek Mill is going to outsell Ross easily, cuz of his buzz even without a proper single. Although, im pretty sure he will have better singles then his boss.
Big ups to MMG. Looks like they will be around for a few more years. I think Rozay will sell his normal 200-250K first week and then it will die down. He never goes platinum and I dont see him breaking that trend now without a smash single.
Meek Mill has buzz right now and a lot of pubilicity with the Drake and Chris Brown fight so thats a good look for him. I would be surprise if he doesn’t sell 200-250K his first week as well.
I don’t know why but I projected bigger numbers for this album even though I didn’t care for it much. The problem with MMG artists is they drop their best song one year then drop the album the next year when everybody has forgotten about the song, then don’t have another decent one to follow up before the release. I see Ross doing about 98k himself while Meek might do 150-200k at the most. Ross being doing alot of promoting for this one, I want to see it live up to the level he hypes it.

MAN YA ALL CRAZY. IM A MAYBACH MUSIC FAN BUT THE FIRST ALBUM IS CLEARLY BETTER THAN THE SECOND ONE. WALE FIRST ALBUM IS WAY BETTER THAN HIS SECOND ALBUM AS WELL, BUT WITH THE PUBLICITY THAT COMES FROM BEING WITH ROSS HE SOLD MORE. RICK ROSS AINT GOING TO DO NO CRAZY NUMBERS HE GON TO SELL HIS NORMAL 130 OR 180K FIRST WEEK AND MEEK MILL AINT GOING TO OUTSELL HIM AS WELL.. THE MOST I SEE IS 100K. DEADASS!
in 2012… 100k first week means the album is already gold in the streets, thats good money yo.. i dont know if yall some old niggas who used to seeing albums do 500k first week but if u aint yeezy, jay, or wayne.. them numbers is impossible in hip hop now… this tells me that MMG is here to stay, respect it..

I don’t know what the hell people be talking about open your eye an order to get first week albums sale an this era of music you have be Wayne drake or j or ross you can go on you tube an here the whole self-made 2 album before it came out and it still sold close to 100k first week and god forgives I don’t is going to be ross biggest album. Ross has been on ever thing the last two months with a smash single touching you, and am a big meek mill fan I been listening to meek since I was 8th grade but he is not going to out selling ross not a chance an hell
Ok now these dudes have released those albums and what went down? I have always known that Meek Mill’s album will be the main thing but also knew that he wont be promoted as much as Rick Ross. MMG is sabotaging Meek Mill by releasing Self Made Volume 2 so that not all attention will be on Meek coz he was gonna do at least 250k first week something Ross will never be able to accomplish in his rap career. Now Meek went R 167000 first week. Ross was scared coz he knows Meek has his own buzz and decided to release another album by MMG. This is crazy
