there will be a lot of people to buy it but if this is a totally new beverage there is no way that it will take off like Ciroc. For whatever reason people seem to forget that Ciroc had been around and been popular in Europe far before Diddy got involved. Puffy made Ciroc extremely popular here in the states but I guess people only know & believe what they see so Puffy is the reason Ciroc is popular everywhere…. these are the same people who think the champagne Cristal is doing bad lmao, little do they know Cristal still makes a ton of money and their sales never dropped but the point is, it will be extremely tough for Jay and Co. to entrench the beverage in any other markets outside of the States where a lot of money is made.
@onblast
Who cares? jay got a new drink out. Good luck to him on this new venture. Now let me get back to my venture. You should do the same. peace
Jay will get it poppin…he’s a trendsetter. However, Congac takes a very long time to make vs. Vodka so we’ll see. I mean, a good Congac takes a lot of time and more importantly, money, to make well.
@YoungSpielberg
I think the first dude was just answering Nigel’s question, calm down bro. I agree that it will be hard to match the success of Ciroc, that company has existed for a long while and as the first guy said has been making dollars. People shouldn’t get all bent out of shape and upset when someone introduces some facts to answer a question posed by the moderator of a site lol. What onblast said is pretty much verifiable via a Google search or 2
Timbo will win
I’m willing to put money that Timbaland’s drink that launched today as well (LeSutra) does better than Jay’s cognac. I say that because Timb hooked up with Tom Bruno of Grey Goose, they are making theirs the more enjoyable fruit flavored liquor, and it’s going to be reasonably priced… Timb’s brand is going to be more comparable to what Ciroc does than what Jay’s Yak does… Best wishes to all these guys though.

Same poison different bottle.
“Coco Loso” helped Ciroc in the US as well. Moscato was around for years, but once Frame mentioned it, there goes that trend. All it takes is a few mentions for this to blow up, but it depends on the price.
Only one way to find out if it’s gonna be a hit or not. *gets shot glasses*
i will take off, i hope this time jay z owns majority shares in the company
wat happened to th gold bottles, his fans must be alcoholics.
nah it wont take off…….everyone these days are into buying fruity drinks and sweet drinks like champagne and Nuvo and Ciroc……..nobodies into dark liquor nowdays cept for the older heads (and me haha)……specially not when youre in the club
If Luda can do it Jay can. Luda’s yack is amazing. Way better than fuccin Hennesy!
Vava, Do some research on who produces Grey Goose and D’usse. And to those talking about Ciroc, it’s the same manufacturer of Popov.
