Uncle Murda – Big VS Jay
Uncle Murda compares Biggie and Jay-Z on his latest track. I won’t even try to speculate how things would be different if the Notorious B.I.G. was alive.

Jay would still be killing i don’t care what nobody say just speculation so if big was alive Jay wouldn’t have the same rhymes??? I mean would big be doing arenas and teams? and being on top would big be married to Beyonce??? I mean really
I love Big, but if he wasn’t shot I gotta still think the Bad Boy curse would have followed him. Somehow he would have gone the way of Shyne, Loon, G-Dep, Black Rob and so so many more.
yall dudes keep talking that badboy curse. what curse? does diddy look cursed? i dont understand what i’m seeing that yall not. u just compared the late great b.i.g. to shyne, loon, gdep, and black rob??? really? the difference between them is simple biggie was lyrically a beast, diddy took care of the image, the radio joints the marketting etc.
u sayin shyne, loon, gdep, and black rob shouldve had great success? no they got more than they wouldve wit any other label.
diddy is notorious for making average bumbs (lyrically) into almost household names. nobody does more wit less than diddy. and those that actually have skill, mase, big, they had alot of success, the lox is the only exception.
yall ppl act like badboy hasnt made a living off of bumbs for the last 10yrs
I never said shyne, loon, gdep, and black rob should’ve had great success. Re-read the post. The point being made was that some of the artists who have been attached to the label have had tragic outcomes.
Black Rob was sentenced to seven years in prison
Shyne was sentenced to 10 years
G-Dep is facing life in prison if convicted.
BIG R.I.P.
And in most cases most cases artist who sign are completely irrelevant and obscure within a few years.
All that beyonce and stuff and owing the nets has nothing to do with bar for bar . which niggaz is talking about . Damn can we have one conversation about just just who’s better and not that fake mtv who’s hot nonsense and don’t base none of it on the music ! ha i don’t know i love both of them but i always look at the measuring stick as life after death and blueprint 2 . blue print 2 . Both double cd’s and even though blue print 2 was years later j still couldn’t fuck with life after death . Its hard enough just to give somebody 11 songs straight through thats killing but a double you talking about 20 plus songs all home runs . And biggie and tupac did that effortlessly .
oh and uncle murda your absolutely right you can’t fuck with NAS ” LIFE IS GOOD ” !
I think BIG would’ve left Bad Boy, there was a gang of talk about how BIG wasn’t feeling Puff as time went on and a lot of those cats that were around speak on the rising dislike BIG had for Puff.
The biggest evidence had always been why Junior Mafia wasn’t on Bad Boy. When I was in 10th grade we used to talk about that all the time. BIG took them to Un because he didn’t want them to be on Bad Boy and word was he dropped a double LP to finish off his contract with Bad Boy quicker… those were the days, BIG really had shit on lock and those that were too young to remember it missed a great time sort of like if you were too young to watch MJ play in his prime
what i really miss from biggie is that he and jayz were going to form THE COMMISSION. thats like a watch the throne but 15yrs ago that wouldve been so fuckin nasty the eastcoast woulda fucked the whole game up wit that one.so biggie and jayz wouldve helped each others fame grow larger by forming that duo
@onblast i think biggie owned half of Untertainment thats why junior mafia went there, also wit mase brought cam to big and not puff, and big signed him to untertainment, also signed charlie baltimore
This song is fucking terrible
@County of Kings
Well… kind of, Untertainment actually didn’t exist then and BIG took them to Undeas Managment so Un could be their manager. I believe they were signed to Atlantic and Big Beat or something like that. Puff was both the artist manager and label head and BIG didn’t want Puff managing them at all and I’m sure there was no way Puff was going to manage new artists and not have them on his label as well. But I believe you are correct that both BIG and Un were setting up their own label which came to be Untertainment but BIG was gone by then.
yea u right i forgot about undeas.
brooklyn wins either way
Murda is real, this song is real. B.I.G would be bigger today and jay would still be a legend. “BROOKLYN WOULDA WON EITHER WAY AYE”.
The difference is jay z was way ahead of his time hence the reason for the decoded book. A lot of cats today still don’t understand some lyrics from reasonable Doubt
Murda always drop heat and rep Brooklyn, fire.
