I don’t see Lebron James’ stats ever comparing to Jordan’s. I also don’t see Lebron getting close to 6 rings.

I disagree. He’s on pace to break all Jordan’s records, stats wise. The only thing with Lebron is can he win the rings and he’s definitely not getting 6 with this supporting cast; however, if they get him some help he as a chance to eventually go down as the greatest player in the history of the NBA. A chance…
Its disrespectful to mention them in the same sentence
Same sentence? They’re not on the same page, not in the same book, or even in the same damn library.
they dreaming awake this convo is happening too early
why is this conversation still happening, I like LeBron but Kevin Durant is on pace to break a lot of LeBron’s stats lol so that stats argument is null and void….. in my opinion, LeBron ruined his legacy by joining another certified HOFer to (hopefully) get his ring this year (I’m pullin for you LeBron).. Jordan made Pippen a HOFer and Rodman got to the HOF based on his 3 years with the Bulls… let me run down a list of cats Jordan played with that were the definition of role players.. Luc Longley, Bill Cartwright, Ron Harper, Steve Kerr, John Paxson… etc
Even if/when LeBron gets that ring this year, he has to face the same controversy Duncan faced when he won his 1st ring during a lockout season. Everyone said that ring didn’t count and he will definitely have to win one during a regular 82 game season. Listen, Kevin Durant and company are clearly on their way to taking over this damn league… LeBron better get his ring now b/c unless a few OKC players get locked up for murder, deported out of the US, or have a religious experience and forego basketball… those boys are going to be around for a loooooong time to come.
Never mention them in the same sentence. Jordan changed the game and made the NBA what it is today. Nobody will ever do that much for a game.
@onblast i disagree wit alot of what you said. –pippen was drafted #5 in his class, he clearly was a great talent. without jordan, pippen almost made the nba finals wit just toni kukoc so dont act like pippen wouldnt have had a multiple all star career and possibly a hall of fame career witout jordan. he wouldnt have 6 rings i admit, but he wouldve still been a great player and maybe hall of famer. –durant is not on pace to do anything to lebrons records cuz lebrons records are all about all around play, none of lebrons records or achievements are about just scoring. all lebrons achievements are about the pts, assist, and rbs that compare to jordan, oscar robertson etc, all durant gonna do is break scoring records, he taller than lebron and gets less boards than mario chalmers. –why isnt lebron allowed to play wit a hall of famer. in these playoffs wade has played identical to a scottie pippen, and lebron is clearly playing jordan like basketball this year. –i dont believe in okc future cuz clearly we all see if harden dont show up they just a big 2, and after a cpl of yrs if they dont win westbrook will want his own team, or harden wont want to continue being a 6th man. if somebody offer harden money sorta like joe johnson he gonna take the money and leave.
if lebron wins 4 he better than kobe. jordan idk yet but its a good argument.
I agree with Prestigous, he has not elevated the league like jordan, so he cant be better, yeah he will retire the all time leading scorer with 2-3 rings, but his legacy will never surpass jordan. right now, he still chasing kobe’s legacy, but time will reveal all…
The only people who think he’s not “on the same page” as MJ never saw MJ play and only rely on ESPN’s hype machine to form their image of MJ. Outside of pure scoring, Lebron’sstats in every other category are better. On the defensive end, Lebron is better. MJ never had to guard centers, PF, and PGs in the same game like Lebron does. Not to mention that the competition at his own position was rather weak I the MJ era.
MJ has him in points and career achievements, but Lebron still has half a career to go and at 27, Lebron will get his first championship at the same age that MJ got his.
@pete c’mon son
Please my young brother’s, stop comparing Lebron to Jordan… Michael Jordan played with NBA legends, not stars but LEGENDS. Mike played with some of the best basketball talent the NBA has ever been graced with. Dont get me wrong i love the current generation of the NBA, but the game is so watered down today. As a kid I seen my aunt’s and grandmothers watch a MJ game… with that being said Lebron is NO WHERE NEAR the talent that MJ displayed on the court. I just fucking cringe when i hear people say Lebron is better than Mike.
Lets clarify this a bit. Anyone who says that Lebron is better than Jordan ToDAY knows nothing about basketball or the history of the NBA. Jordan is the man and no one has come close to that yet (Kobe included).
That said, Lebron is playing at a level and a pace that is unprecedented for the NBA. Jordan, Kobe, Chamberlain nor Kareem or anyone else for that matter dominated the game in the way that Lebron is doing it now. IF he can continue this throughout his career and IF he gets a supporting cast that’s worthy he will go down as the all time leading scorer by a large margin and he’ll be top 5 in just about every other major statistical category. If he does that and he has 4 or 5 rings he’ll be the best that ever did it. Straight like that….
