RZA’s directorial debut is a martial arts epic set in 19th century China and co-starring Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu.
RZA has been quiet lately but he clearly has been working on something major. He wrote the screenplay and directed, “The Man With the Iron Fists,” while also being an actor in the film.

Can’t wait for this movie, shit is gonna be off the chain!
The quiet one’s are always making chess moves, the loud one’s aren’t doing shit.
Yes, both scenes have hoeers chop off the arm of a bad guy and Lucas has acknowledged Kurosawa as a major influence, but. . .One scene is a character coming to rescue another character. The other scene is a character picking a fight. They have similarities but differences. Toshiro Mifune does not equal Obi Wan Kenobi. They have different roles to fill. Sure, one wants to save the galaxy and the other sort of wants to save the town (by spitefully destroying it) and both have swords, but their motivations are completely different. Yojimbo does not equal Star Wars. The scenes are similar in some of the editing, the villains boasting, and one aspect of the conclusion of the scene where the bad guy has an arm lopped off. More differences- In Star Wars Kenobi basically brings a knife to a gun fight, but secretly has Jedi skills and magic powers. Mifune brings a sword to a sword fight, and fights three guys if I remember correctly. Plus he is itching for a fight where Kenobi tries to forestall one. One fight takes place in a bar when a character is minding his own business, the other has strutting by both sides and is made as a performance to basically sell his prowess to gangsters. Who would be the Luke character in Yojimbo? There isn’t one. One movie is quasi-nihilistic with a little redemption and the other is the coming of age of a hero. Bottom line- though I really enjoy your videos I agree with others that you overstate your case and select criteria that fit your thesis and don’t really engage material that undermines your argument. Like the creators of the movie, you pick and choose what you want for telling a good story and jettison that which you don’t need. I think the movies area little more complicated than that.
