The Weeknd did much better then Frank… I really wish there was competition The Weeknd and his band had better chemistry and the Weeknd actually sounded good Frank had nice Highlights but at the end of Coachella the Weeknd had the better performance
His performance was pretty exciting, but he can’t sing nearly as well live as Frank Ocean. If he didn’t make all of his songs in that ridiculously high pitch, he’d have an easier time performing.

YO THIS NIGGA IS AMAZING. HE NEVER USED AUTO TUNE,,HE DID 100X BETTER THEN FRANK OCEAN BUT FRANKY IS STILL GOOD..
TO BE HONEST..FRANK STARTED OFF KIND OF ROUGH BUT PICCED IT UP REAL QUICC AND HAD A COOL SHOW..HE JUST DIDNT HAVE THE CHEMISTRY WITH THE AUDIENCE..PLUS HIS SOUND WAS BAD..BUT HE SOUNDED COOL LIVE THO FOR THE MOST PART..THE WEEKND WAS SLIGHTLY BETTER..MAINLY CUZ OF THE BAND THO..I AGREE WITH TOKI.WITH HIS HIGH PITCH..U CAN BARELY UNDERSTAND WHAT HE BE SAYIN..BUT THEY BOTH DID OKAY..COULD BE BETTER
that muthafucka sounded horrible he need that studio magic i’d never go to see him live sounding like ah whiny nasal child only on cds he sound good with that studio magic

both did ok.just ok, i’ve seen video’s of live performances by the weeknd and they were much better. same with frank. i have to say this though: in today’s age where you can be a frank ocean or the weeknd and drop one free mixtape and almost immediately have that warrant you rocking stadiums on your own your live performance is going to, well, suck. thats one thing about the old school way of coming up. there were alot of showcases and smaller venues before you made it to a crowd the size of coachella’s. besides, both artists music isnt’ quite stadium status yet, not saying that its not good but stadium status music is a little different. the weeknd is the closest, very close actually. both are awesome artists and just happen to be two of my top 5 albums from 2011

This man did amazing. I’ve heard him sing live twice before this and he’s great. Here he’s outta breath and tired cus one: the fast tempos of certain songs, two: Its Coachella dude! Thats exciting af. And three: crowd anticipation which would amp anyone up. Overrall he did a beautiful job in my mind way better than Frank Ocean.

honestly, I’m a HUGE fan of both the weeknd and frank ocean… but i have to say frank’s voice live is flawless.. yeah, he might have had some problems with his band or whatever, but when it all comes down to it frank sounds exactly like he does recorded, if not better, live.. and the weeknd doesn’t sound anything like he does recorded in this performance, a lot of factors could have probably contributed to this but either way frank ocean did better..

Without AUTO-TUNE a lot of “singers” can’t really sing. What you hear on The Weeknd’s studio songs is his voice run through a computer program called Auto-Tune. In live performance he doesn’t have a computer to hide his vocal flaws. Without Auto-Tune The Weeknd can’t sing.
I like the guy for getting up there and trying. The only bad part is some people in the audience think it’s good.

his band SUCKS. really bad. the drummer hits too hard, and is too dull. the guitar just sounds like garbage. abel didn’t do too bad here, but he needs practice.

I think he was really good, he may not have been perfect but thats what makes live peformances unique, I think he sounded close to his album. The performane over all was great, I loved wicked games at the end really showed off his voice and he really killed the D.D.intro!
