I don’t think it’s biting. I think that the energy would be appreciated. A lot of people are nostalgic, especially in the absence of actual good music. A lot of new cats out are respected, but they don’t make classic music, as was made in the past, and I think that reflects a lot of people’s feelings. Keep in mind that just because Dre / Snoop were the first to do this (or, rather, TLC with a LeftEye) doesn’t mean that they control the stakes in it, who gets to do it after them, etc. As much as most of you would like to say “this is getting out of control, other people will bite this,” the reality is, it would be a good look for rappers who have passed. I’d love to see a Big L, ODB, Big Pun, Notorious, Freaky Tah, Heavy D and Guru hologram, but that’s just me. Some of y’all need to appreciate what CAN be done in life instead of what people “shouldn’t” do because someone else already did it.
