During Cash Money’s pre Grammy party Lil Wayne took a shoot at, “The Throne,” stating, “I met a bad red bone, I took the bitch home, I asked her what she want to watch, she said surely not, “The Throne.” With his label Cash Money having 17 Grammy nominations Lil Wayne was feeling very confident. Unfortunately Cash Money ended up not winning a single award while Kanye won 4, with one going to, “The Throne,” for, “Otis.”
But as we all know Grammy awards don’t mean much, Kanye West didn’t even show up. The issues between Lil Wayne and, “The Throne,” all stem from Lil Wayne’s belief he is the great rapper alive. I think he feels the title, “Watch The Throne,” was a statement from Jay-Z and Kanye West that they are the greatest rappers alive. With Lil Wayne throwing shots over and over it is about time for him to just flat out make a diss track or move on. Either express all your anger on a solid diss track or just focus on making music you beleive is better than, “The Throne’s.”
