   You don’t need to be talented or have hits to sell records now a days. As long as you have that machine behind you you are going to be fine. Nicki Minaj’s label put up a lot of money to have those results. She had an MTV special, had the entire audience at 106 and Park in pink wigs, performed at the VMA without a hot single out or an album, performed at the BET Awards, countless magazine covers/spreads and was literally everywhere.

   If Eve, Lil Kim and whomever is going to get that much label backing they are going to sell that much. Banks had a solid effort and barely sold.
