Yo. I never heard of this guy…but I always thought that black people are the most naturally physically gifted group of people on the planet. If black people put the same type of focus they do with basketball and football, into other sports like swimming, tennis, hockey (and all the other “white” sports) we would straight dominate all of it.
@aces up youre right im a black hockey player my brother is a black hockey player and we have been trina tell people that if they gave it a chance they would be really good. There are like around 10 or so brothas in the NHL and some of them are some of the most important players for their teams. With scholarships or funding to let more black people play i garuntee you there could be more black people playing hockey. As long as you learn to skate when your litter your good. I know white people who cant even skate lol why because they started to late hockey is all about learning early.
The thing is with us black folks we like to limit ourselves so much. Then we start bitching how we have no opportunity and bunch of other crap. You ain’t got to play basketball or football or even be a rapper to be successful. Look outside the fucking box there is so much opportunity there for you. Look at tiger woods big in golf Serena Williams and Venus Williams big in tennis. Don’t listen to these fuckers saying thats white people shit. The reason why a lot of black people can’t swim isn’t because they are incapable of it. Its because a lot of us don’t have access to pools/oceans. You make it sound like black people can’t swim because we are just genetically unable to. Like fish not being about to fly or sharks living on land. FYI, I know how to swim and so do a lot of my friends.
Like I said, if black people were able to focus on different sports like swimming, and was able to put the same energy into that as they do football and basketball, we would be good at that too. It is no coincidence that although blacks make up less than 25% of the population, we have the highest numbers in professional basketball and football and back in the day baseball (which so happens to be the same sports that black men are trained to play from the time they can walk).
