At the end Trey Songz gives his advice on being successful.

I don’t like the new album either. There’s like 5 good tracks on it. I hear he’s releasing Love Faces as the next single. Wish it was “Made To Be Together” or “Please Return My Call” instead. Secondly, Trey’s success has nothing to do with Chris Brown. Trey been doing his thing and PAID HIS DUES. Plain and simple. Yes he crafted a very marketable image as well, but dude BEEN in the game and he has the talent to back it up.
I do have to say that Trey needs to really get in the studio and put out some classic stuff. All these love songs he be doing now are nice and all but nothing I would say I’d be playing 5 years from now. His old shit is way better.

Its seems like a lot of people don’t expect the artist to grow or evolve. Its not realistic to expect an artist to remain exactly the same on every album. We should expect them to take risks and make attempts at different sounds and forms of creativity.
I rocks with Trey, I feel like from his first album to now…he’s been able to make good music out of a lot of the feelings and emotions young men have. From “Just Gotta Make It” and “I don’t Wanna Leave” to Joints like “Successful” and the more recent “Can’t Be Friends”…How many RnB singes have the street cred of a rapper as well as the adoration of the ladies!?
I guess the point alot of folks is missing, is that you can’t sit there and say trey songz work ethic was the driving force behind where he is today…he is VERY FORTUNATE the Breezy caught his case and left the void that he has fulled today. Before “the case” Breezy was getting all the endorsements,performing on every award show, on every talk show….he was everywhere….in that time where has trey been? they pretty both came out around the same time and there was a clear difference between where Breezy was, and where trey was (wasn’t even close)….now that breezy got into trouble, trey got a chance to catch up. and he did. but the question i have for the all the trey fans would he really be in the position he is in now with Breezy catching his case? his music been ill from time, but not that good.
