Well, I think its pretty clear that LeBron didn’t care about his “legacy”. I think he’s assuming if he wins 6 rings in 8 years or something like that, while averaging a double double (which is possible since he averaged like 7-8 assists in Cleveland) that nobody is going to remember how he got to Miami. And he’s probably right. Sports fans have short memories.
And everyone is talking about Lebron’s legacy, but what about D-Wade’s??? Yeah he already got a ring, but clearly he was just as eager to play on a “dream” team too. I think they are all bitches.

I also think what people don’t realize (or are ignoring) is that unlike Lebron, players like Jordan, Magic, and Bird were playing on teams and for organizations that knew how to handle a superstar. They knew how to keep their main player happy so it wasn’t just that these players were competitive it was also that these players were rarely given a reason to doubt that they could still be competitive on their same team.

Lebron was close, he went to the finals and lost and had a few good playoff runs. It took Jordan roughly eight seasons to get a ring and he didn’t run to the Lakers or the Celtics to win his rings. He turned the Bulls into a dynasty and thus sealed his mark on the game.

The Lakers had the best record in the west BEFORE the Gasol deal. Before Gasol got to the LA nobody was checking for him. I bet half of you barely knew who he was. Kobe makes his teammates better with his desire to win. LeBron and the Cavs had the best record in the leauge the last 2 years runnin. What great player would walk away from having the best team in the league before finishing what they started. Kobe, MJ, Bird, or Magic wouldn’t have left until they got the job done.
