That’s why when an artist flops, truckloads of CD’s are returned to the label, like Puffy’s Forever and 50 Cent’s BISD.
Retailers have no idea of how many records will sell so obviously they aren’t going to purchase a million albums and sit on them if they don’t sell. It’s called consignment.
