hold up@Serious Chris Brown is the MJ of OUR time… And I’m the biggest MJ fan there is trust me and im on 25… What Michael Done in the past is what Chris is doing now.. all of you “status” things are trash homie.. He is not called The future of R&B for nothing… Chris is young and made some bad choices… no doubt but u can’t take that away from his talent.. if u do then u are just blinded by dumbness homie.. Great tribute. MJ deserved that. I used to get annoyed with Chris and the MJ thing. Not him paying tribute (like the VMA’S) but he’d do similar things in videos from dances, to images, to facial expressions ( This Christmas vid had he Rock with You freeze cam, Gimme that was a Smooth Criminal send up, etc) and clothes. BUT aside from the EXTRA imitation he did( I know MJ is his idol but Chris used to tap dance on a thin line between tribute and jacking) it must be said that Chris was 1 of the only people HONORING Mike while he was alive. Chris performed Thriller FOR Michael Jackson. And Mike loved Chris. He spoke that in every interview about “new music” since 2006 (usher was more into Bobby Brown then Mike for most of his years honestly) . Chris made sure he got the roses while he could still smell them ya know.

MJ would be turning in his grave to think there are no dance tributes of him happening by established artists aside from baby sis Janet. This was a great thing Chris Brown did.

If Chris Brown sang like Neyo , danced like Chris, donated/volunteered like Alicia Keys and wrote like R.kelly and Babyface he’d be the MJ of our time. Aside from the good ol boy charm (that Chris once had) and dancing he’s not in the vein of Mike so so much. I think a few of the young white boys even make more Michael Jackson like material such as Jesse MccCartney and Usher’s protege Justin Beiber. Chris isn’t urban but….he’s not pop ..not now at least
