Him going to memphis was basically a test and he failed it because of his “Me-Me-Me” Attitude. I use to watch this dude BALL @ G-TOWN back in the day IVERSON was the MAN. He came into the LEAGUE ‘96 with Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Kobe, Starbury and them. Thanks for the good Memories A.I.

They really acting like Iverson not worth 2 pennies!!! How people acting like he’s no good any more. All the other big stars in the NBA they let them be them selves on the teams they go to. He’s not trying to be elfish he just wants 2 play his game! Ths Guy use to battle kobe point for point & win in that category most of the time. But if kobe ever left the lakers no team would make him change who he is!! As soon as iverson left the sixers everybody wanted to make him a ROLE PLAYER when he Clearly was still an ALL STAR! In 1 of his first few games with the nuggets he had 40 sumthing points & like 12 assist! He not washed up they not letting him be him where he goes! Detroit was the worst Nobody could score after Bilups left. Then they brung Iverson in & wouldn’t let him be the scoring machne he is so other BUMB ASS NIGGAz could shoot the ball more & never average 20!! smh. Iverson is a player you build a team around not a role player! He problably the only player at his age & Height who could still give You 40 or more! Shyt he score better then alot of niggaz bigger then him still!

it’s official! Allen Iverson is the new Stephon Marbury , it won’t be long till he’s on the internet making videos of himself ..dancing around with no shirt on ..with facial cream on his face…i won’t say he’s just as bad as marbury , because he’s still good , he can still drop ..20-30 points, from time to time , but the thing about him is ..he thinks he’s to good to come off the bench, he doesn’t realize he’s not as good as he once was…but, this is his own fault, he’s the reason no team but the Memphis Grizzlies wanted him ..no top contender team is going to want him, for the simple fact ..that he’s going to come there ..trying to take over, assuming he’s going to be the starting pg, of a team ..that already has a good pg , but anyways .. i hope everything works out for him.

Asking Iverson to be a role player is like asking Shaq to be a role player & not dominate in the paint. If they can’t be stopped at what they do then why change it? You can’t fix what isn’t broken! Iverson clealy still cares more then shaq does cause he doesn’t ave a ring & he still feels he can play at an elite level. Iverson can still give the top players 30 or 40 if he was the go to guy on a team He hasn’t been surronded by a good team since 2001 & even then he didn’t have much ofensive help just Great defense! When he went to Denver Carmelo was a wild chuck who wanted the ball. When he went to detroit they still wanted them to play like chancey billups was there when they had a scoring mchine in iverson! Richard hamilton wanted to still shoot. Wallace wanted to camp out at 3 point land & shoot away & grab no boards & leave the paint open. The memphis situation was a bad fit cause to many good young players. He needs a team like the Timberwolves! Where they need a scoring guard. Not just a scoring big man. Al jefferson needs help & Iverson needs to be him self. Iverson is more of a passer now so it should work.

Iverson hasnt had a chance to be the man since philly! Once he left philly they wrote him off like he was just a role player & no longer a Super star! When he never got a chance to prove if he can still run a team!

Allen is way better than Conley. Conley is weak. AI was puttin better numbers in than Conley and Conley played double the time so thats bull. Mike Conley is weak and will never even be able to compare to AI.A.I is ten times better than Conley will ever be in his career. AI is the man.

ivo need to go to cleveland and come off the bench realtalk. he nice but he requires the ball way too much to be a key peice of an already championship caliber team, he can be the man on a shitty team or be a teammate and peice of a championship team.
if kg, rasheed, shaq, ron artest, can all go to teams and be comfortable being a role player and a key peice to a team than who the fuck is a.i. to act like he’s above them

Iverson, has no choice but to be a role player .. it’s either that or, he gets nothing at all , you have to realize …he’s getting older ..and he’s not the old iverson anymore, he played decent in Denver …but when he got traded to Detroit ..he actually made them worse than what they already were before he came, his addition to the team didn’t help at all , it’s not the players fault ..he doesn’t fit in their offensive setup ..the pistons are a running team, just like Denver …so i don’t understand why he performed so horrible ..with them, but at the end of the day , you can’t blame the team ..for how a player performs ..your saying ..since the team performed bad , that made him play bad ..and that’s not the case at all ..look at Dwayne wade , lebron james, gilbert arenas , kevin durant , joe johnson, andre igudola, ..they all have bad teams , but look how many points they average every game …then compare them to iverson numbers , from last year …you can’t tell me , it’s the teams fault ..he just doesn’t play that good anymore.

Iverson is a little upset at his role in Memphis, but what the crazy part is that he was only there to attract a crowd so more consumers will purchase more tickets. He shouldve known he WAS NOT gonna start over Mayo and Coloney. He’s entirely too selfish to me. I knew this when he said his mom would be late on a bill just so he can have a new pair of kicks. His selfishness has caused other organizations to decide not to take a chance on him. I mean look how he left Detroit players for dead. He wants to start but as years go on, you lose some physical ability but you gain a lot mentaly, and he has yet to realize that and now its too late because he’s been in the league for 13 years. I just hope Lebron James learn that soon. Jordan did, now Kobe. Once your body begins to get “old” on the court, you have to be 2 steps ahead of your oponents mentally.

You have no clue what your talking about! When did Iverson ever show signs of age slowing him down? Or was it the lack of confidence in him to lead the team evey coach showed him since philly!? Denver didn’t have confidence he could lead the team cause they wanted to build around the wild chuck carmelo anthony. Dtroit shortened his minutes & brought him of the bench when they had no OFFICIAL SCORER on their team. Nobody averaged 20 points when Iverson was there. But he was the best scorer being subed in for a (C) list all star richard hamilton! Memphis not 1 player on memphis NOW will drop more points then iverson every night or ever accomplish everything he accomplished! Him as the superstar he is accomplised everything but a Championship! Nobody on memphis has ever did what he did in the nba not eve in their High school or College days! Real Talk……

I don’t understand how hes selfish hes not aking 2 chuck the damn ball! He passes way more then kobe ever did in his career! He use 2 to have 40 point games with like 7 to 10 assist! Kobe has 40 expect less then 5 assist! He wants more time Has he not put in more work then every member on Memphis? It’s like movin kobe or wade (2 scoring monsters) to Houston & telling them they can’t start or take minutes from Trevor Ariza!?!?! Plus Iverson passes more then people gives him credit for even when he has no scorers around him. He draws so much attention he has no choice but to pass.He doesn’t shoot over like 3 niggaz like Carmelo or Kobe when he in chuck mode. Bottom line he is the best scorer on memphis young or old! You can’t write somebody offas old & washed up with out giving them a chance to prove they still got it. washington gave Michael Jordan a chance to come back & he averaged like 20 sumthin. Most niggaz young or old never get 20 sumthin in a game which iverson still could!

Pro basketball in Philly has been dead since Iverson left. When Pat Croce was the owner, everything was all good because Pat is from Philly and can relate to A.I. Now we got these nut ass corporate crackers running the team and they didn’t even wanna give him a tribute when he came back here 2 years ago. I can’t even watch a Sixers game no more. Its a sad story on this side. It’s not even me thats sayin this, its the WHOLE city. All you gotta do is look at the stands. It’s empty during the regular season and half empty during the playoffs. Iverson had that much of an impact. All you gotta do is let him play and he will do amazing things on the court. Whats Memphis’ record? 1-7 ???

@12, apparently he wasn’t passing the ball too much if he’s only made it to the finals once. Only won a bronze medal, and has been on 3 different teams on 2 yrs! Maybe Kobe was a bit selfish just like MJ was in previous yrs but yóu learn from that and you grow to trust your teammates. So what if Memphis is 1-7! Like he can do better and being a b**ch on the bench crying that you weren’t starting doesn’t help. I wouldn’t play em either. Iverson can’t physically do what he use to but he lacks basketball iq mentally to be a step ahead of his younger opponents.

Memphis don’t have a player as dominate as Iverson is & they problably never will be as dominate as him at any point in his NBA Career. One of the Top 5 leading scorers in history & he still dished more assist then kobe (The 1 they call the next Michael Jordan smh). Plus hes only 6 feet tall & 170 pounds! If thats not fucking impresive or worth giving a shot at being the teams go to guy then I don’t know what is!!! He deserves more respect! Memphis wants to build around players who don’t have the experience, acomplishments, scoring talents or resume iverson has! It’s not like anybody on memphis is a phenom like lebron or Wade!!! Plus by the way memphis is playing it looks like they need somebodto score & get other players open & create like he does! They should of let him take the scoring pressure off of everybody else (being that hes the best scorer) & the rest of them niggaz need to ear defense! Everybody can’t shoot the basketball & be to tired to play defense! Memphis struggles on offense & Defense! Atleaste if they let Iverson take pressure off offense they would have more energy to stop other teams from Giving them (((((BUCKETS))))))!!!!

When the las time you seen Iverson get a chance to lead the team at this age to see what he can do at this age??? No answer for that 1! So how can u say he can’t compete at this age!?!? Iversons basketball IQ has to pretty high to consistatly drop buckets & get more steals & assist in his career then kobe in his! Even with all this lack of playing time hes still ahead of kobe with his stats! Only thing kobe got is e rings ovr him which players LIK SHAQ,FOX,HORRY,HARPER,FISHER(4 RINGS WIT HIM),ODOM,GASOL & ARIZA! Hes complainig cause he feels disrespected! If yall know anything about basketball then u know u cant win a championship with Iverson. Its alot of people who can score alot of points but have to sacrifice 4 the team 2 win. Isiah,Magic,paul peirce,shaq with dwayne,ray allen,scottie pippen,clyde drexler,gary peyton,chauncey billups,kevin garnett,rasheed wallace,richard hamilton,tim duncan,tony parker,ginoboli…… this is something iverson will regret later in life.No team will win a championship with 1 man handling the ball that much like steve nash or chris paul,they stats look good but they will never win a championship like that.

He just wants to start & be able to play his game with out being turned into a jup shooting role player! He can do to much to just sit back & not give 100% of what he does best!
