Any thoughts, complaints or suggestions on how the site is going? Just checking in with supporters to make sure everything is running smoothly. The site has come a looooooooooooooong way lol.

y’all doing your thing. Nothing really negative to say. Just keep doing your thing. I like how y’all feature all artists and aren’t just bias to certain superstars. You also do a good job of featuring the latest songs and mixtapes.
If anything I would suggest you show more love to Toronto Artists, since Drake is the biggest thing out. Theres alot more rappers out there who are up to par with American artists. Plus its ALL HIP HOP!

I’ve had this complaint for a looooong time: I can’t stand the fact that your posts aren’t in order each time i enter the site. I may log on notice five new posts then i’ll come back few hours later and i’ll see different posts in between the older ones! Can you saying annoying? Otherwise, I love the site. I’m here daily.

this is my daily blog that i check, but i think if you be posting some old school videos comparing who had best verse or whose album was better this will be so much better. Like for example put some 2 old school album and let people vote who’s was better this would be awesome.

Site is cool, first stop in the am, info isnt always broke hear first but the site layout and the ease of use is good, opposed to sohh, and now hiphopdx with their ugly white layout, but jus keep postin music, va want some more shine, give the midwest artist some shine 2, i havent heard them in a while and i knw they still grindin

ive been following your blog since the beginning, liked your upgrade, but I think there should be a new design.. all that blood, gangsta outfit doesnt really fit the concent
I like the fact that you combine your stuff with other sites, but it gets a little overloaded sometimes with all the stuff going around.. maybe you could structure the content a little bit more.
theres one question left and im sure you wont answer it, but ill give it a try.. do you make a living with this site?

Besides the ESPN site, this is the other one I’m always on. Theres always something to look forward to in sports or hip-hop to keep the day going. I feel bad for those who don’t have a computer especially the ones over in the third world countries. Regardless of how hard my day gets, I still got something to read or a video to watch that’s interesting. I’m always on the move so I can’t watch all the interviews on tv (like if Snoop or 50 Cent was on Jimmy Kimmel or something) and I know this site will have it when I get home and also the Stop the Madness ones that I would never know about. Keep up the good work. This site is maybe one of the reasons why hip-hop isn’t dead yet

Get rid of those mixtape adds no one is checkin for that, it just makes your site look cheap.. Maybe u should introduce a regular international post, like a international artist feature..

Leave the red. that what makes the site what it is, if u change that it won’t feel like realtalk anymore.
1 Work on your vocabulary or atleast when you write, just make sure it makes sense
2 Its ok to comment but it shouldn’t be biased
3 When theres no hot news to report, post a controversial topic or ask a controversial question.like who’s the best raper alive or who’s the GOAT or why men and women cheat etc or just any controversial topic to keep the site exciting and interesting until there’s news to report that way u’ll always have people checkin the site 24/7 and it won’t get boring.

I check your site regularly and its ok except for your poor grammer sometimes and your biased blogging. I am more comfortable when you give me info so I can develop an informed opinion on a subject matter as oppose to you trying to steer me to your belief. And remember that spelling is very important.

reat site, nice graphics. I have ONE huge complaint. This site is not balanced, you pick sides and that throws off your audience. The 50 cent hate?? c’mon.
Also, instead of appearing like a groupie running behind the artists and posting pics…how about also creating some content for yourself? Finding new and interesting topics that are related to hip hop that people care about.
For instance:
There’s a video about a 5 second break on a latin record and how it’s the most sampled loop in recorded history (LL Cool J-Rock the bells).
Real talk talks with Pete Rock…EPMD…Naughty By Nautre…so these young boys here can see where this rap shit coming from.
In Seattle there’s a museum designed by Frank Gehry in honor of Jimi Hendrix, The Experience Museum… Maybe an expose on if such a project is underway or being considered for Hip Hop…
A deeper look at what it means to be a Female in the Game…A few articles/interviews with Eve, Foxy, Kim, Latifah.
Oh and that chick you used to have Joy or whatever is fine as hell…more camera time for her please.

I got a question, REALTALKNY, who do comments await moderation? What causes that and what can I do or not say to avoid awaiting moderation. I like to be a part of the dialogue, but it gets annoying to have to wait for approval. By the time i get approved, somebody has already said what i wanted to say or theres 15 new comments in front of mine. It almost made me stop visiting the site cause i never say anything vulgar, racist, or overly offensive. I even stopped cussing on her.

The site has been improving all year. I like how you’re not biased towards any artists, you always leave it to the users to discuss.
I’d like to see an album review section, where user can rate albums too.
Also at the end of the year Real Talk should have a poll on ‘hottest album of the year’, ‘hottest artist’, etc…
Polls are always good, makes it easier to get an idea of peoples views.
Keep up the good work Nigel D, I couldn’t live without this site.

Main suggestion is to also post the usershare/dl links [all the time] instead of posting the youtube of the song only.

I really do enjoy this site, but I’m seriously considering dropping it based on the comment awaiting moderation stuff. I checked back on another post that i commented on and my comment was removed completely after biggin’ up the Slaughterhouse video. I hate to say it, but your competitors dont do that. i guess freedom of speech doesnt exist in this forum

I love this site, been coming here for about 2 years now. Brings quick and speedy update with new music and interviews. Love the Stop The Madness: segment.
#5 and #22 … yup I agree with you guys. That’s probably the most annoying thing, I sometimes have to scroll down and click back to older post to see if there are any new post between the older post. Also, use spell check, I’ve seen a couple of typos. Other than that, great site.
Suggestion: For the Poppin’ or Floppin segment…make a poll, so people can vote on it #1 Poppin #2 Flopping or #3 It’s Aiteeee
On each Saturday – You should make a post on “Hottest Song of the Week” or “Hottest New Song of The Week”

The way it works is key words trigger a comment be put under moderation, not sure what you are writing to keep causing that.

I’ve been a fan of this site for a minute. it’s the 1st site I check and the last.
some of the things I’d like to see from the site:
• LP reviews (what happen to them) I’m not saying everything that comes out, but the ones that are note worthy. Books & movies aren’t a bad idea also.
•Hip Hop HISTORY lessons. I’m 27 yrs old, so I’ve been around the block a few times. With alot of the comments I read it’s CLEAR that there are a lot of youngins on here that know SHIT about hiphop. So if u can every now and than put ‘em on to a “READY TO DIE” or a “CHRONIC” as a must have(hear) classic. Briefly break down how these and others changed the game and why they’re hip hop classics.
•More Interviews & Features. U guys are 1 of the best site out there. It shouldn’t be hard to get ppl to do an interview. If u want u can get some guest bloggers to come in from time to time to do what they do.
Ova all the site is dope, so I don’t have much to complain about. Just keep up the good work. Just keep in mind that the comp is gaining ground.

You guys have improved over the years and I like the range of content we get from here. I really do think that if you want to trump a site like Nahright, you might need more updates in smaller time intervals. I also respect that you dont put too much bias into your post like Nahright and Rapradar does (your competition IMO). I LOOOOOOOOVE the women posts ESPECIALLY ANYTHING on BRIA MYLES! You should mention some of the talented independent artists a little more too.

I think it’s a GREAT site, but the biased “journalism” u do from time to time wether directly or indirectly effects your traffic if u want 2 be real. Don’t put your little anecdotes below the topic (of conversation) tryna SUGGEST/SWAY peoples opinions. U already know it’s an issue when most of your sites regular visitors mention you doing it quite frequently.
One more thing! Could their possibly be a BLOCK option on certain vistor names if we don’t want 2 see their comments rather they be random, weird, annoying, silly, etc.? Or @ least turn their characters (letters) white 2 match the background. Lo

I think alot of cats in the game are very very smart and arent where they are cuz they some dumb niggaz…..when you interview the smart ones (not a RIck Ross or a Plies) you should ask intellegent questions.. I know your younger readers would like to know who they baby mamas is or when was the last time they got it in at the club………. but im sure you older/educated readers would like to here questions on how they handle they marragies/gf being on the road so much ….or how they think it affects their relaptionship with their children………..how they family chnaged as soon as he/she got money…….would they want their 16 y/o daugther to listen to “my neack/my back song” ….or great motivational songs like “salt shaker” form the ying yangs twins…..
or ask cats like French Montana what do you think children are getting from his 16bars……and would we want his kid to push white and hustle and be on the corner
