Domestic abuse is a serious matter and men should never hit women but I do question the timing of the interview (her album is coming out in a few weeks). “Hell hath no fury, Like a woman scorned!” a few things I learned about this interview: (1) Chris is a dumb-ass, you got caught cheating & spazzed out. (2) Rihanna’s well on her way to becoming a great actress, she was not having a candid conversation SHE KNEW what questions would be asked, so she had her answers ready & if you notice Diane Sawyer filled in the answers for her! (3) She admitted that she puts on a “front” so people can’t see her pain (children of abuse are good a doing this because if there’s abuse in the home you have to have a “game face” for when you go to school, so even though she was hurt she clearly wanted to appear as the more “mature one” between her & chris. (4) She lied, if she was so concerned for young girls she would’ve went around the country speaking to kids @ schools, (Hell T.I. did it & he STILL went to jail!) she took chris back but then she pulled a “J-Lo” & decided her career & endorsements may diminish if she stayed with him (So you let your fans decide who you should & shouldn’t fall in love with?) Obviously she’s still pissed that he cheated & not only that she got her ass whooped for slapping an admission out of him. I just would’ve respected her more if she had spoke out months ago or remained silent it’s just too much of a coincidence that she has a album coming out so she’s “strong enough” to speak out. Chris did a fucked up thing but he is clearly “manning up” & trying to get better, Rihanna is not a therapist so how can you throw him under the bus for falling victim to the same drug (FAME) that you fell victim to? She didn’t speak out after they broke up, she partied, hung out & probably slept with a few guys to get over chris, I’m willing to bet she’s not mad @ chris for beating her, she’s hurt cause she was in love & he cheated. All in all it was 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back, Chris will be put in the category of Ike Turnner, R. Kelly & even MJ but he’ll still have a bright career, Rihanna will continued to be worshiped like a Martyr like Tina Turner And they both will continue to live off their favorite drug of choice (FAME) and we’ll all still be there for the ride, all while thinking our own lives are boring & un-exciting!

You are right, there is more to the story. Rihanna conveniently leaves out the part where SHE HIT AND KICKED HIM FIRST WHILE HE WAS DRIVING. And this is bad reporting by all media outlets because it is already documented that she hit him first and NOBODY is bringing it up.

It was a good interview. She was a whole lot more genuine than CB, not sure what some of yall were lookin at. AND she downplayed past abuse by CB if yall actually watched the whole thing so she was still cuttin for him to an extent. She coulda made him look like a monster (like some of yall act like she did) but she made it more like a one time mistake.

She was not having a candid conversation, well what exactly was chris having on Larry King because everthing that came out of his mouth was rehearsed from the beginning to the end. He’s done three interviews already to her 1 with one falling on the same day as hers and lets not forget to his album coming out in the beginning of december, so lets be real with the situation. I like chris as well as rihanna but i don’t agree with what he did, and just because u like someone or appreciate their work of art dosn’t mean u have to try and justify their wrongs for messing up, he’s just going to have to deal with the consequences of his actions. The same way u wouldn’t appreciate ur best friend or someone fucking up ur sister, dont make excuses for chris for doing the same and trying to defend him because he was clearly wrong for what he did. I’ve seen boxers fight and come out looking better than what she did and all for what, because he was already in the wrong.

i read some of these comments and at first i was kind of shocked. she does one interview to his four if you include his own viral posting. he had the larry king, angie and sway as well. maybe she needed time, it doesn’t matter.. she’s the victim. i can’t see why y’all keep wanting to make excuses for chris brown. if he admitted guilt why can’t y’all see him as guilty?
she said she didn’t hit him, he won’t speak on the details of the night and the only one saying that she hit him is Teyanna Taylor’s friend. let that story go. if anything he confirmed how immature he was acting after the incident on his MTV interview. he blacked out in anger which he said in the Larry King interview. y’all act like you know him personally and he’s not capable of hitting a girl. he watched his step father do it and he just reacted. if you call her interview PROMO then what has he been doing?
you don’t need to pick sides. the one thing i rarely see with this whole CB/ Rihanna situation is dialogue about what really is the issue and that’s domestic violence. both of them discussed that in their interviews friday but y’all MF’ers so dumb it went right over your heads.

I love her perspective on stuff, she has such a practical point of view on the situation, I’m so proud of her, to overcome something like that, so public so humiliating and be so mature and strong is just inspiring, I just hope that as she says Chris can grow up from this experience and will actually change. it would truly be a waste of his talent if this would stand in his way forever.

#2 – I dont think it was that she was complaining about a text, Rihanna in the interview made it sound like she caught him cheating based on the context of the text. Alot of guys get mad when they’re caught cheating/in their lies, I think it’s true that he beat her cause he was mad he GOT CAUGHT and she was angry at him about it.

Wow….I came in here expecting to read a couple ignorant comments, but most of you muthafuckers take the cake.
First of all. Yes Rihanna’s album is coming out in a few weeks….but she’s going to have to do a press tour ANYWAY, and what is the first thing interviewers are going to ask about? It makes sense to do ONE interview addressing the entire situation and put it to rest, instead of having to constantly talk about it or have people think she’s evading the situation. And regardless of that. Rihanna is the victim here. She kept her mouth shut for months as CB ran around the country doing interviews with whoever would listen to him. Ain’t nobody said boo to him though…so why all the Rihanna hate?
Second of all. Even IF Rihanna hit or kicked CB, that still don’t give him any justification to do what he did to her. I’m not saying he couldn’t hit her back, or at least defend himself….but we all saw the muthafuckin pictures….CB straight beat that girl down! And aint nobody on this message board can say for sure if she did hit him first or what. Rihanna said she didn’t hit him and CB has never said she hit him. Yet people still want to make shit up in their heads to justify their idiocy. SMH!
Third of all…Chris Brown ethered his own fucking career by being a straight bitch about this entire situation. That muthafucker needs to fire EVERYBODY in his circle because they handled this shit as bad as could be. CB should have admitted his guilt IMMEDIATELY and took his punishment like the man he claims to be instead of running around like a bitch trying not to go to jail. And he damn sure shouldn’t have been out laughing and jet skiing all over Miami or the Bahamas or wherever the fuck he was.
Maybe then people like me would still have a little respect for him. But as it stands now, I wouldn’t even spit on the dude if he was on fire! And its not because he beat up on a woman per se, even though that in and of itself is disgusting. My problem with CB is the way he handled the situation. He’s goes about his business like nothing even happened. Even if he didn’t go to jail, he should have taken at LEAST a year off to let this die down instead of continuously being in everybody’s face.
