I say: That’s only good when you’re dealing with family and I mean blood family. Unfortunately when Hov, Dame and Biggs decided to sign Beans back in 1998…it was an investment on their part. Jay-Z had to convince Lyor to allow beans to tour with him and at the very least proof that he can sell records.

There was no conflict of interest at Rocafella, and Jay-Z is not a diva….from the very beginning Jay-Z always wanted to just do 1 album…and let Memphis Bleek and other talented artists take over…the label. He’s been saying that from day one.

Beanie Sigel got more push than Kanye West had. Beanie Sigel was actually signed as an artist, was taken on tours to actually spit. Was put on Jay-Z hit records…and could not in any way shape or form capitalize off that. Beanie Sigel was made partner of a clothing line…he claims only 20%…well Jay-Z, Dame also had 20%. It was Jay, Dame, Beans and the 2 Russians he claims…well all 5 equal 100%. And even if Jay-Z and Dame had more of a %…is only right. IF I sign you and I’m making an investment I’m in no way shape or form making you the majority owner of a brand that I’m giving you…what type of business is that…? when the start up money is coming from me…that’s just basic business….If I’m starting a clothing line…and you are investing most of ur money in my line..you yourself want to have a large % even though is my line…that’s just how investors work…this is pretty basic…man..nothing personal just business.
