The Young Gunz are a rap duo from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are composed of Young Chris (born Chris Ries in 1984) and Neef Buck (born Hanif Muhammad in 1984). They are members of Beanie Sigel’s State Property collective and are formely signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. Young Gunz’ debut single, “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”, was one of the top 20 on the Billboard charts of 2003.

Ries and Muhammad had been friends since they were in middle school.[1] On “Takeover”, a track from his 2001 album The Blueprint, Jay-Z announced the duo as “Chris & Neef”.[2]
In 2001, the duo performed on the State Property soundtrack album.[2] Chris and Neef starred in the titular movie. Also during this period of their career, Young Chris appeared throughout Dame Dash’s Dream Team compilation, and Beanie Sigel’s The Reason. The duo performed together on guest appearances for albums like Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 2, Freeway’s Philadelphia Freeway, State Property’s The Chain Gang Vol. 2, and Memphis Bleek’s M.A.D.E.; all while recording their album.
The Young Gunz scored their first hit with “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”, the lead-off single from the Chain Gang, Vol. 2 album. Its song and video received major airplay on hip-hop radio, MTV2, and BET[3] and reached #14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and #6 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart.

50 is using you just like he has used others in the past. You are just a part of the marketing and promotion for this album. Curtis has never done a project and not created some type of beef with someone to promote it. Check the history.
Curtis you are just as commercial as Sean Combs and Shawn Carter. They got there business model from Russell Simmons and you got yours from them. Curtis James Jackson III you are not hood, street or gangster. Dude you are the third generation of Curtis in your family. C’mon Son. Curtis you will be 35 years old next year and you are still acting like a 20 year old. I love the music, the website and the other investments that you have. I just want you to come out and say that you are going to end Jay’s career like you say about other artist (Ja Rule, Fat Joe and Rick Ross). People do not pay you what you are worth, they pay you what you are willing to except. You have not had a hit in forever. Be a man; take responsibility for your situation in life and with Rocafella. Last week we saw the release of a Jay-Z diss track by Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel. It started out kinda ok, then actually got kinda good, then totally fell apart into a 3-minute long whining session about how the two used to be friends, and about how Sigel wants to go on family vacations with Jay and Beyonce or whatever. Now it’s been almost a full week since the track was released, and Beanie’s wondering why Jay hasn’t responded. He appeared on Philly’s Power 99 radio station, during an interview with 50 Cent, and MTV News has an account of what went down.
“He is a crumb. I’m gonna put my foot on his neck until he responds,” Beans said as the segment came to a wrap. Beans added that he’s ready for a lyrical tangle with his once-close clique member and that he would relish a retort from Jiggaman for the “What You Talkin About (Average Cat)” song.
“Please make a record,” Beans yelled on-air. “A week’s been out, dog. I’m not taking nothing from Jay as an artist. He ain’t no walk in the park as an artist. All I’m saying is I don’t gotta jog to keep up to him.”
On one hand, obviously I’d like to see Jay-Z respond with a rhyme of his own. It’s part of the tradition of hip-hop, after all, and it’s certainly a lot of fun for us, the listeners. But there’s also a lesson to be learned here, about how keeping quiet can be just as effective in achieving your goal (making the other person look really, really fucking stupid) as fighting back.

I usually don’t like posting on here b/c 1) half the people on here don’t have open minds, so listening and evaluating another’s point of view won’t happen. 2) Another 1/4 is too young or dumb to understand what I’m saying and in most cases what they are saying. So, that leaves me with 1/4 to talk to. So to the 1/4th out there, here is my opinion.
I take Beans at his word 100%. I believe he is a real dude. Not very smart business wise and decision making wise but all-in-all a real dude.
BUT SO WHAT!!
Like most has said, Beans is barking up the worng tree. Yes, I’m a Jay fan, but of his music, not the man. Because like most of us on here, I have never personally met the man, so I can’t claim to like him PERSONALLY. But even when you listen to Beans his gripes are that Jay didn’t treat him as he would have liked to be treated. Well, guess what, he should have said something then. When he wanted insight from Jay about the business as he now claims, he should have pulled Jay to the side and said yo, school me on this. But, apparenlty he didn’t. Or maybe he tried and Jay played him, but at least he would have knew then that Jay wasn’t FAMILY like that. The point is, with or without money people in our lives are going to treat us ways we don’t like. You either do something about it or you live with. Apparently, the entire time Beans was on the ROC and he claimed Jay was his fam, he was living with it. I wonder why?? Probably because LIFE WAS GOOD just being in the same room as Jay, so why say anything. Now that he can’t get Jay on the phone, “Jay is a crumb!” See, that to me is wack. If you we’re not willing to stand up for yourself then, what’s the point of doing it now.
Jay didn’t HAVE to take responsibility for Beans in court. Should he have? None of us will ever know because that was Jay’s decision and whatever pro’s and con’s he weighed in his mind to come to that decision was his perogative.
Jay didn’t have to push Bean’s records more than he did. Putting Beans on The Dynasty Album was beneficial to Jay and Beans. I bought Beans first album because of it. Beans should have parlayed that success into something where he didn’t need Jay, but what did he do? He got himself back into trouble where it got to the point where that’s exactly what he needed…Jay. His fault not Jay’s.
Jay didn’t HAVE to pay the Young Guns more than what he paid them, if they didn’t get a contract to say any different. Should he have..Sure, but “a closed mouth don’t get fed.”
Should Jay have called the cops (if he did, b/c it’s unfounded and pure speculation) that wasn’t right. But if I’m worth 300 million or so, I’m not about to be arguing with a disgruttled hoodlum, if that’s what Beans wanted to do NO MATTER HOW TOUGH I PERCEIVE MYSELF TO BE. It’s not smart publically, nor professionally so why do it. I don’t condone it but I do understand it. Maybe you should too.
Lastly, I like 50 too, actually I like is interviews very much, I think he is a funny dude. But it’s clear he is using this as an opportunity to stir the pot because he has an album coming out. I think that’s pretty Gay. Stay out of other grown folks business.
