[Guy Who Isn't An Idiot] A: Yes, the beef with Ricky being a C.O. did slow him down. It hurt is sales as well. Although he sold a decent amount his 1st week (sales declines like 75% progessively weeks after week) his credibility of the content he prides himself as is gone. He’s as delusional as the group of MTV idiots that are making this list. I’m by know means a huge 50 Cent fan, but let’s be real… Rick Ross is not a good artist – he just had really good production on his album. His core fans bought the album to support him when he was being destroyed by 50 Cent via the web. MTV has lost all credibility in regards to Hip Hop, BET should capitalize on this and have their own list, based on the fans’ thoughts not 4 idiots.

On a side note, my personal opinion is Jay Z should be the number 1 artist. BP3 was great. Relapse 2 was pretty damn good itself.

This is craaaazy. First of all they are saying the hottest in the game, they are not just saying for 2009, they are saying hottest in the game right now period. So let me ask this question to the hip hop fans not taking away from any of the artists they have already listed. T.I. has been hot and has stayed constant in the game. Jeezy has remained solid.
