Crazy. Another accolade to add to his great list of accomplishments. Seriously, I think he’s going for the top 10 greatests black men of all time list. His trophy room must be ridiculous. Congratulations to him. How many people can come in and essentially fix some foreign relations with other countries. He didnt win the Nobel for making sure everybody in America got jobs. He won for his extraordinary impact on international politics.

lol obama hasn’t fixed anything yet, he hasn’t gotten european countries to send additional troops to afghanistan, his administration even gave the Russian pres. a gift with the wrong translation of the word “reset” in russian. the only thing he did was get elected. other than that no one is really happy with him . republicans think he’s too liberal, and liberals think that he isn’t pushing his liberal policies strongly enough(i.e. health care, gay rights, etc.) he even got eliminated first from olympic voting, showing how much of a joke all the talk about repairing our image is. let’s not forget about n. korea setting off missiles constantly and iran progressing with their nuclear program. besides that he has accomplished a lot though

Well…lets see:

He headed the UN Security Council in which the body unanimously called for “a world without nuclear weapons.”

He has also been praised for his outreach towards the Muslim world.

He has also gained Russia’s support for “additional sanctions against Iran if it does not stop enriching uranium”, which the American government has been trying to get for the last decade.

We aren’t/weren’t suppose to leave Iraq for another two/three years to begin with, and he’s already pulling out.

He’s reversed many Bush policies that violated privacy and human rights.

He’s helped pass the bailout bill which, fortunately, saved the American economy from going bankrupt or into a depression.

To say “he hasn’t done shit” is flat out ignorant, and means you need to look more into current news before you open your mouth. I’m not saying he 100% deserves this award, but acting like he’s sat on his ass over the last 9 months is stupid, and disappointing coming from the “hip hop community”.

This was what I was concerned about…common people who never gave a damn when Bush was president till gas prices went up are now all of sudden staring Obama down scrutinizing every single day he’s at work. First I would like to say congrats President Obama on this successful award. However, I don’t think he did anything now nor in previous yrears that will justify him the prestiges award. Prople such as Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Teresa are some of the names who talked about peace and lived by it. Obama is an intelligent man, but right now, he didn’t deserve the award. People are dying like crazy in Chicago and there are about 40k more soldiers who are about to be shipped to Iraq. That’s not peace. I’m just saying right now he shouldn’t have gotten the award.
