I remember when the west coast was poppin in the mid/early 90s (hip hop’s golden age), NY was sayin that they weren’t real hip hop, and that west coast niggas can’t freestyle. But guess what, when you guys were turning pop and wearing shiny suits, the west coast came with that hardcore rap and held it down for the gangstas and thugs. All OJ’s tryina do is make music for the trappers and get his stacks up. Now I ain’t sayin I’m a fan of OJ, but I can respect him. Everyone has their time; let him have his.

Its not even about ny against the south man. Yo anybody that ever been to a Wu concert knows that niggaz in that particular crowd only want to hear that type of hip hop. Im from the home of the hip hop heart beat(New York) and we never disliked Outkast, goodie mobb etc. Hip hop has lived long enough to become multi generational and Its important to remember that everything they play doesn’t apply to the entire cultures ears. I dont own any Oj’s cds and probably never will but i wish him the best he handled that interview gracefully. If he was at the apollo he wouldve had more love then at a Wu venue, that was whoever booked hims fault.

The only good thing to comment out from there was outkast(old outkast).
