With a possible year of freedom being taken away from him starting next year, will he be able to maintain his popularity and buzz? Tupac was able to drop a number 1 album in the country while locked up, can Lil Wayne be the second musician to achieve this feat?
With rappers T.I. & Prodigy already in jail for gun charges, Lil Wayne, Plaxico Burress & Lil Boosie(also drug charges) will soon face the same fate. Wayne, Burress & Prodigy were caught in NY which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Why do you think these celebs feel the need to carry weapons illegally and don’t you think paid security guards is the safe solution for protection?

Sounds like a more than perfect and ideal situation for CMB. Wayne and Drake are their heavy hitters right now. Wayne drops a double album, tours and does a farewell show. He will be sentenced in February. Drakes album is said to drop in February. With Wayne taking a minor hiatus, Drake will be able to become the new face of Cash Money temporarily. All focus will be on him (at least until TI is released). 8 months down the line, Weezy is released just in time for a 4th quarter takeover. Sounds like good business to me and i dont even like any of these mungkeys.

personally, i am not a fan of Wayne’s music, but i hate he has to go behind the wall. i’ve been there, both in NY and NC, and i am aware of what may happen to a person such as Wayne in the NY penal system. on the real tho, because of his status, he’ll probably be in PC (protective custody). he talks real tough on records but in the real world, he is just another sitting duck, hence the guns he got snatched for. rappers always feel they have a point to prove, but in this case, just like Prodigy, Busta Rhymes and Boosie, it is much more sensible to hace hired guns than to have a year or more of your life interrupted for bs. His career is going to suffer a little, but his psyche may suffer more.

2 Words…. Easy Targets…. Them Fuckin Laws Know That Rappers are most likely always strapped…. and always strapped.. Ya Dig… Seems Like They target Hip Hop artist to say, look, no matter what you do, or say, you will always be recognized for Thug Life type shit, which is being an Outlaw to a degree.. Fuck the laws!! You never know though, some tweaked out artist may crave this type of publicity for a look… be clear that i speak of nobody particular… so the only solution is… Don’t get caught, but eventually, every artist will/may undergo these tribulations…. It’s like a seal for real these days I guess…. Ya Kno!
