Em should have been on this list. Hov is at the top. Could have replaced Rick Ross with Em and this would have made more sense. Wayne sold more in a week but the album was wack. A mili, Mr. Carter, and comfortable were the only decent tracks. it was all hype.

This is MtV’s favorite list, they know about hip – hop as much as Tay Diggs did in Brown Suger. T.I out sold every artist on this list with first week sells except Wayne. He killed the MTV awards with Re Re, opened for the Bet awards with Luda and smashed the grammy’s with hip hop’s best. A hit T.V show, won an MTV and Bet award from jail. I think they feel Tip going to jail takes away all his acomplishments and work he put in. One more thing Jada out sold and did way better than Rae plus Luda should be in 50’s place he has done nothing. 1 Hove. 2 Lil Wayne. 3 Tip. 4 Kanye. 5 Rick Ross. 6 Gucci Mane. 7 Young Jeezy. 8 Luda. 9 Fabolous. 10 Jadakiss… The real list!

Gucci Man- He is an insult to all the artist mentioned on this list. Let him bubble some more before giving him this merit.
50 cent – He hasn’t had an album in two years, no guest spots with any serious artist, bunch of album push backs and a couple of luke warm mixtapes. He used to be that artist. Time to show and prove.
Eminem – I am not a fan of Em but him not being on the list distorts the hottest in the game theory. Because he had record sales alone that should put him somewhere on the list.

This list will now be known as The List They Didnt Put Em On.
Em fans will backlash like crazy. So by not making the list, Em taking a huge W because no one even gonna give a damn about the actual list, the main focus will be on Eminem and him not making the list.
MTV will take a loss. Big time. No one will take anything they do credible after this. I dont know what they were trying to do by not putting Em on the list. If they just wanted to get a reaction, they will succeed in that.
To not have Em on is stupid. I know its a HOTTEST list and Em may not be big in clubs or on the streets, but according to MTV, they were taking into account record sales and internet votes (that should have put Em in the top 5 alone!) and buzz (Relaspe 2 has a good buzz) and features (Em is getting crazy love for the Forever guess spot) and etc. Yet he isnt in the top 10.

Before his album dropped nobody was checkin for no jay z, now after his album dropped the buzz around his name only lasted as long as his promo tour. We can all make somewhat valid points as to why this list is tainted but the rap game is a what have you done for me lately business. We all know that Common, Andre 3000, and Nas are more lyrically inclined than every one on this list including your self proclaimed leader Jay-Z. Many ask why is Gucci on the list – better go look at the boy rap sheet for the last 3 years and dude got the trap music game on lock. Em just came back and to be honest, that shit was not all that. People bought it because it said Eminem. My question is why are niggaz like Faboloous, Raekwon, and 50 Cent on the list. Be honest, how many of you have ever really bought a Fabolous cd. Raekwon – boy stop with the boo boo. 50 Cent – nothing that comes out of his mouth is relevant, he made the list because he’s the biggest hater in the game. Rick Ross to high on the list, I would put him bout 8. The top three I have no problem with, but Jay shouldn’t be # 1, we haven’t found out how many lyrics he stole from other rappers yet. Kanye at 4, he didn’t do enough for me as a lyricist this year. People I would have on the list would be Game, jadakiss, T.I., and Ludacris and take off Raekwon, Fabolous, 50 Cent, and Young Jeezy.
