The Producer Of X-Men Speaks On Future Releases

On Wolverine 2: “That’s the furthest along of all the X-Men projects on the boil. It’s actually the story we wanted to use for the first Wolverine film, but [Fox head honcho] Tom Rothman preferred to set the character up with an origin story first. This movie will really focus on the relationship between Wolverine and Mariko, the daughter of a Japanese crime lord, and what happens to him in Japan. We’re very fortunate to have a story mostly outlined for us [from the comic book arc co-written by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller]. And we wanted an A+ writer, so we want to Chris McQuarrie (Valkyrie, The Usual Suspects). He came in and has tightened the story and got really immersed in the whole thing – he’s in Japan in his head!
Full Story: Empire Online
Other films in development focus on Magneto, Deadpool & X-Men First Class. Did the first Wolverine live up to your expectations?

SOUNDS PRETTY AWESOME!! BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STORM MOVIE??
BUT IMO WOLVERINE ORIGINS WAS WAY BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER X-MEN MOVIES..
THEY SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE GOOD UNTIL WOLVERINE..

I heard a lot of negative reviews on Wolverine. I got the blu ray from netflix and I thought the movie was ok, considering you ignore the comic book story. But you know how some people are, if its not an exact copy of the original, its no good.

The first one was good but if there is a second one it might not be that good since disney bought Marvel. Gonna see Wolverine and Sabertooth singing and dancing in a high school musical movie.
