  1. aidonia Says:

I was 9 when Pac died too and it affected me cuz Pac spoke to the hood, for equal right and his music was for change……all Jay Z does is talk about himself and his money…No soul behind his music just bragging….that is why he will never be as respected and loved throughout the world as 2 Pac. Pac was a revolutionary who always spoke with insight and purpose for the plight of not only the black man but the underprivileged in general.

  2. name Says:

honestly, the line is dumb, drake is overrated

  3. Dibbz Says:

man this cat drake is madd homo..tired of these fruitcup rappers these days speakin out their ass

  4. Daddy Says:

? Did he really have to explain himself?

He said, “Don’t take this the wrong way, but…”

People are way to sensitive. Yea, Pac is more worthy of tears than Jay-Z, but think about it, Drake’s had a silver spoon in his mouth since he was born. He doesn’t understand the inner city struggle and the message in Pac’s music. Give the guy a break.

  5. Daddy Says:

And one other thing. Jay shouldn’t have to say he’s the greatest of all-time for it to be true. If he truly is, people will just say it. Idk, that shit seems shady to me. It’s like he’s just saying it, so people can go along with it. Dude is definitely not doing things for the right reason. If I had $500 million, half of that shit would be spent on helping the kids in the ghetto.

  6. BAM Says:

NIgga I was 6 when pack died and it still hurt me.

My Mom dont even like rap but she cried when pac died because of what he stood for and how valuable he was to this lost generation. Plus dude was dope!

Im sorry but what the fuck has jay z ever did for drake or any of us? For Christ sake get of his dick.

And if you dont really understand where pac was coming from u are either ignorant to whats going on or u have never struggled. And drake fits both of these categories.

  7. Philly Blunt Says:

I dunno about the line i guess cause he was too young when pac died? but whatever jay doesnt even compare to pac…….

  8. noelle Says:

Omg Daddy, it’s drivin’ me crazy!!!!!! GET OFF HIS NUTS!! That’s my confession,..Lol..

  9. david Says:

noelle’ll ask me if i remember raping dat kid like a judge in a pedo case

  10. david Says:

    naw…

  11. noelle Says:

    Huh?

  12. fukk you Says:

i JUST lost respect for drake. man im 21 years old right now pac died when i was 8 and i fuckin listened to pacs music and i was AFFECTED by it so fuck drake pussy ass nigga

  13. Daddy Says:

You know I love it when you call me Daddy. haha

  14. my2cents Says:

I was 6 when pac died and ill tell u right now pac was the best.

pac and jay are in two different leauges. what has jay done for everybody to have everyone on his dick?

im sorry but if the nigga wasnt so business smart he would be on the same level as eminem or wayne.

I mean my momma dont even like rap but she was sad because she knew what pac meant to our genration. He was our leader, and now we dont have a leader.

  15. sym007 Says:

You can always say the what if’s to eternity but the fact of the matter is as much emphasis any rapper brings to the table, they will always have subject matter that can be at a loss of interest for an audience or loss of words you could say, currently or in the future as time goes by.

Pac and Jay-Z have touched on everything from being poor to being rich, from fucking bitches to respecting women as does many versatile hip-hop artists are expected to do coming from fans in different cultural backgrounds.

At the end of the day, if you want to make a career path in music. You’ll have to find your way of doing it by what is considered by others, selling out or by any means necessary.

  16. noelle Says:

    :X

  17. playahata Says:

censorship is required to speak on this article

  18. my2cents Says:

F%&k drake…Jayz aint did S*&t for me, he a coo rapper but thats it..if he wasnt business savy he wouldnt get as much respect…

pac was this generations leader..no not lil wayne..not gucci mane..not jay z…pac was the leader for us now that he gone we have no leader.. open ur mind

  19. walla Says:

I was 6 when pac died and ill tell u right now pac was the best.

pac and jay are in two different leauges. what has jay done for everybody to have everyone on his swipe?

im sorry but if the dude wasnt so business smart he would be on the same level as wayne or eminem..

I mean my momma dont even like rap but she was sad because she knew what pac meant to our genration. He was our leader, and now we dont have a leader.

  21. Pounce Says:

He might wanna stop sayin Pac’s name in songs for a while. “I spit the shit that killed” now this. To be honest if he got Canada on his back he may sell a milli first week depending on the single… and thats comin from a westcoast nigga who wasnt 9 when Pac died.

  22. ThaTruth Says:

Drake is such a cool cat. He did not have to come out and explain himself to yall but he did just to make sure yall dont take it the wrong way.Drake is so misunderstood.Go hard DRAKE! Kill these Haterz!!!!

    -ThaTruth

  23. what up Says:

i wouldnt cry when jay would die, neither 2pac…
fuk that, i dont know any of em, y should i cry?
    dey some musicas, nun more.
yea, pac talkd bout/for the hood, but he didnt bring them kinds outta the ghetto.
id rather cry when dis nicca dies who gives 20 apples a day to the hood.
not for those 1000mil-heavy niccas ain doin nun for the hood, beside letin them paparazzis takin a pic passin by the ghetto.

  24. Justin Incredible Says:

Understand what he is talking about he was young. I have no problem what he said i would feel it if Jay died. Jay made great hood music he taught lessons, where if you was/are if his field of business you would understand( laywer money over flossin{ 99 problem is one example}). See im 31 and i heard Pac music i was never a fan because, Pac Flip/ flop to much for me. He want to be positive and at the same time, he a thug or a outlaw. You cant jump on both sides, then when does your words have any turth in them your man did it/or told you what happen/ or you are a lier,ex: Lil Wayne. He never did anything for the ohod, but people still believe in him. Thats why this rap music is wack too many rapper that flip/flop and people still like them ex: Nas”The Other wanna be Tupac”. Jay never change what he was and still talk about from when he started till now.You can be educated just listen and stop shaking your ass/”that beat is hot.

  25. LOLDickRiders Says:

#18 shutup your’re the most ignorant retard on this planet. Never post on any topic ever again because you’re just making yourself look dumb.

  26. TheDogg Says:

I was feelin tight when I first heard that line, but then I realized at the end of the day he don’t know pac personally so why should he cry, I’m HUGE pac fan yet I didn’t cry when he died either. He shouldn’t even have to explain himself

  27. TheDogg Says:

@16 pounce: WUT UP WEST COAS!!

  28. blaq out Says:

i really dont underzstand why he even had to explain himself why would he cry for someone he didnt no personaly has nothing to do with not knowing the “inner city struggle” or any bullshit like that so niggas need to stop whining and being so gotdamn sensitive

  29. Backlash Says:

niggaz in here are getting mad at jay , because of a line drake said ? you have to understand ..drake probably didn’t grow up listening to pac’s music …but anyways cosign #18 ..i never cried when pac died neither ..and neither would i cry if jay died ..and im a huge jay fan ..i love his music .. i don’t know him personally ..yeah i’ll be shocked ..just like i was when mj passed ..but , i wouldn’t cry…but some people are different.

  30. E From BK Says:

You idiots on here talking about what Pac did and how real he was and so on and so forth. Its just straight boring. Pac was a Harlem kid (MC NY), who decided to start rapping and acting for a living. Yes, he spoke on a lot of social ills, however, he also contributed to a lot of the ignorance in rap. Take nothing from the guy, content wise he was one of the best (one of them, because KRS has always had more content in his music) to ever do it, but he showed his ass just like a Jay Z has or a B.I.G. has or *insert your favorite*. Also, why do you all hate Jay so much? For all his bling talk and so forth, the guy puts his money where his mouth is. Celebrate them both for what they have done, taking nothing away from the other.

  31. E From BK Says:

Oh yeah, lyrically Jay is way nicer than your favorite emcee…………………My bad, most of yall like rappers.

  32. Yung Greed Says:

$top Hatin My Manz Drake He a $avage on that mic get off his dick cuz he wasnt even tryn be disrespectfull toward pac but what you all fail to realize is that in his opinion jay-z is the pac of this time, key word there is that its his opinion,HI$ opinion,Not Your$ $o why doe$ it matter??? Because he got money and you dont??? Get tha fuck out here, my nigga drake cold an wether he cries or doesnt cry when jay dies i really could give a fuck because it doesnt change the quality of his music…. Fuck Off yall hatin azz Pu$$y Niggaz

  33. Cyphere420 Says:

LMAOOOOOOO @ The Simple Fact That People are Saying I Was 6 and 9 When Pac Died, But He’s The Best, Cause He Spoke to the “HOOD”….

LMAO Fuck You Know About the HOod At 9……..Listen Man All Dude is Saying is He Grew Up on Hov, So It Will Have A Greater *Impact on His life, No one is Saying Who is Better Than Who…..

    LAMES

  34. Esco Says:

He says it clearly “don’t take this the wrong way, i never cried when pac died, but i probably will when J does”

if you aren’t well versed or educated enough to? listen to the lyrics instead of just hearing them then don’t comment… you don’t even have to follow hip hop to understand what the kid meant… ignorance is annoying you guys all need new hobbies

  35. Hi Hater! Says:

Fuck Hov my nigga. Pac is the realest!

  36. tdot Says:

yo I cosign #25… drake is just saying jay-z has had more influence on him and you guys are idiots for saying jay-z hasn’t done anything. Jay is the one branching out hiphop and showing you what else you can do with it.

  37. broham Says:

WHO CARES this is drakes opinion just b/c u don’t agree don’t make him weak, his stuff is personal and maybe he did grow up with this infamous “silver spoon”, maybe he didn’t either way dont hate on the man thats been in the game for years, finally blew up, made a name for himself and created a great mixtape, that people are buying, when u can get it for free LEGALLY… yall fools are to busy being critics and not understanding the fact that drake worked for everything he has now, could u say you could do the same and be just as successful?

i personally couldn’t careless about either pac or jay-z, i listen to them both but they don’t aspire me b/c there not gonna put food on my table or clothes on my back…. yall seriously need to get a life.

  38. LOLOL Says:

@what up……Pac did bring alot of people out of the Ghetto Pac went and spent money on alot of homeless people who he thought had Potential to be great and help changed the black community for the good not the worse.

  39. OLA Says:

    what is there to explain??

i was 9 when pac died and i didnt cry, i barely knew who the nigga was. i kno who he is now cuz of doing research but when ur 9 u dont know whats goin on.

niggas that were born in the 80s LITERALLY GREW UP ON JAY-Z. i mean the nigga has been out since 1996 and its now 2009 – 2010. JAY-Z has been around pretty much most of our lives, not Biggie or Pac. i mean the dude has put out classic albums, sold out tours n the US and the WORLD, broke down serious barriers for BLACK PPL. Biggie n Pac never got to do that cuz they were gunned down.

So the way ppl cried who LITERALLY GREW UP ON MICHAEL JACKSON, niggas will cry many yrs from now when JAY passes cuz we grew up on him.

ALL yall niggas saying yall were 7 when pac died and cried cuz he spoke to the hood are lieing, u BARELY knew who dat nigga was and prolly heard his name from older relatives. so get da fuck outta here.

if ya’ll dont understand what Drake was trying to say then u guys really need to step ur “READING COMPREHENSION” UP

  40. Don Says:

a fag like him shouldnt be talkin bout pac

  41. Mo Says:

lmao! at idiots defending pac like he really did anything….while he was alive…all that money he had and didn’t really do shit with it…

Jay-Z has done more by actions than 2pac has done preaching about it.Period.

You can preach all you want….I’d rather see someone do…than talk and preach all the time. Just my personal preference.

Martin Luther King, preached and also did. That’s what I like.

Nas just talks…but does nothing…and you have idiots saying…Nas this and Nas that..but doesn’t do shit for the community…when have you seen Nas do charity for the unpriveledge kids in Queens bridge?

Jay-Z has a number of foundations, S. Carter that helps kids in less fortunate communities fulfill their dreams and goals as they pertain to art. The whole MTV water for life, has employed tons of minorities in Rocawear, Roc La Familia etc…now these people have jobs…
served as an inspiration to hundreds who listen to his records..

WTF has 2pac done or left…in his memory..- Hit’em up?!…that’s all negativity and him spitting at the camera….wtf??

  42. noelle Says:

This nigga is TOO much for me.

  43. noelle Says:

    (goes back to Kanye)

  44. Smooth Da Hustler Says:

“Muthasuckas say that im foolish, I only talk about jewels, do you fools listen to music or do you just skim thru it. ” Most people who say Jay only braggs don’t buy albums and just listen to peoples singles which are designed to attract the attention of idiots like them.

  45. GuttaQue Says:

cosign # 25 and # 26. We have to realize that when someone mentions a name they automatically assume they dissin or disrespecting. Its so many Stans in the world that people fail to realize that the same dude/rapper/mc/whatever you love really don’t give a damn about you. Yall look too deep into shit and it makes you look really ignorant. Before you try to decipher lyrics, which many fail to do, try at something small….like a book or some other shit. Dumb ass people is what’s killing music with their crazy analogies. Too many niggaz tryin to interpret what is meant instead of realizing what is real.

I was finish until I read #33 comments. How do you know what these dudes are doing and probably have done. Everything is never documented, you only see what you see and know what you know in life. The definition of a Jay-Z stan who attacks a man who is deceased. Like Jay ain’t never sold dope…..if you are going to talk about it, tell everything. How is Jay so better than everybody else. American Gangsta was a true movie, Bumpy Johnson and Frank really gave back to the hood but also contributed to killin it….so what’s the difference. Jay better because he set up a foundation……YALL KILLIN ME SOFTLY

  46. The Truth Says:

I’m not upset with Drake’s opinion, he felt Hov more than Pac and that’s cool. But the age is being shown on here for REAL. Pac went to the hood habitually at all kinds of neighborhood rally’s, helping folks and what not. He came up with the THUG’S Code with a bunch of old school jail dudes, like a code for the streets. Including not selling to kids or soliciting them to sell drugs. I can’t even tell you how many videos I’ve seen of him at various speaking engagements, talking to kids at a school in Harlem a few times, etc. Ya’ll need to do the research yourselves if you’re too young to remember cuz honestly, I saw him making moves & taking action in the hood when most of your fave rappers were RUNNING from it. He even liked to party in the hood till he got shot. Most rappers who weren’t near as popular at the time would do that. He was a bundle of contradictions & not perfect, but aren’t we all? I love Hov, he is the best rapper alive. But nobody had Pac’s passion to see his people succeed. It was evident in his music & the way he lived his life.

  47. rockstar Says:

nigga i was 5 going six when pac died it didnt make me cry i was pimping in school macking them girls in sandbox and hustling milk and cookies on the downlow for extra cash

  48. i n f a m o u s l y c o o l Says:

i didnt give a shit when pc died. emotional ass niggas. drake is speaking his mind.

  49. BrickCity Says:

i feel Drake i aint cry pac died either… all pac did was diss everbody dont get me wrong i liked pac (i loved biggie though..) but thats what he did yeah he did have a lot of uplifting songs for the hood but he never really diversified his self from those few topics… u must dont listen to HOV to say all he did was brag go do ur homework then say what u want about hov til then… ITS THE ROC!!!!!!!!

  50. ChiGo Says:

    wow
drake got stans out the ass lol

  51. Yeezboii Says:

Wow , Everyone getting fucked up right here.

First thing, Its drake’s choice if he would cry when hov does or not. Has nothing with yall to do. Just because u love Pac, Doesnt mean Drake has to, I bet he like pac, But yall cant get fuckin mad just because the man didnt cry when pac died. He didnt even know pac or anything, And i know u could still cry, Even tho u dont know a person. But still, He was just a white kid in toronto. Would you really expect him to cry? And sure, Pac is probably better then Hov, But i’d choose Hov over Pac any second, No hate, Just MY opinion.

  52. J.R Says:

Drake is from the suburbs why ya niggas acting so suprised?

PS Who gives a fuck if he doesnt cry for whichever dead rapper? Cry for someone in your family wtf… I love rap but LOL @ the niggas who cry for them. Sure have a heavy hear but cry?? PUSSIES

  53. J.R Says:

    heart*

  54. Marcusckarkus Says:

wow, i cant believe my boy hov cant get no love on here. Tupac was merely before drakes time, not that he wasnt alive, but he was too young and like u said he spoke for the hood, and thats not where drakes from. Hov has affected rap music in such a big way its crazy. I still here niggas recyclin some of his lines into their own shit.

  55. THE REALEST Says:

THIS IS A LAME TOPIC. WE GIVE ARTIST AND OTHER SO-CALLED LEADERS SO MUCH OF OUR TIME THAT WE PUT OURSELVES ON THE BACK BURNER. IF YOU LIKE AN ARTIST – THEN SO BE IT. IF NOT – OH WELL. THEIR IS ONLY ONE ARTIST THAT I CAN THINK OF THAT HAD ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. M.J. HE SPOKE ON MUCH OF THE SAME THINGS THAT RAPPERS ARE. I LIKE JAY, PAC, BIG, EAST, SOUTH, WEST AND NORTH MUSIC. THE “GREATEST” TITLE IS NAMED, CLAIMED AND BELIEVED BY THE MASSES. WHEN I SAY MASSES – THAT DOES NOT MEAN JUST AMERICA BUT THE WORLD. EX: M. ALI. YOU HAVE TO DO SOME STUFF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO THE WORLD PEOPLE. THE WORLD. NOT YOUR FEELINGS OR THAT TURKEY THAT YOU RECEIVED FROM YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER ON THANKSGIVING. ALTHOUGH THAT IS GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITIES. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  56. scorpio Says:

    The ignorance! LMFAO

  57. the truth Says:

Yo realtalk, Drake just lost a fan. I like rappers who actually can rap and Drake can rap, but if what your saying is pointless then I can’t ride wit u. F*ck Drake. On to the next

  58. 50 "snitch" cent Says:

I didn’t cry either when pac died and as a matter of fact, when pac died i was too young to realize he was dead because i didn’t give a damn so i feel drake on that. If Jay-Z was to die tomorrow i wouldn’t even listen to hip hop any more besides D-Block, Nas, and Cam’ron

  59. Guest Says:

    what’s wrong with the line?

im not even going to listen to what hes gonna say because i understand HOV is a bigger influence on his life.

  60. whiteboy305 Says:

2pac is alive..what da hell yall talkin bout???

  61. jay_young1 Says:

wow not everyone is from teh hood and drake is one of the few rappers who dnt claim to be what they arent. (RICKY ROSS! cough)… so it affected him diff.
I wasnt afected much by pac dying i was to little to undersatnd i was 6 about to be 7. When biggie died it had a bigger effect on my neighborhood. I didnt really get in2 hip hop after that and thats when Roc-A-Fella was on top of the game so i understand what he means bythat line because thats the era of hip hop i grew up more on.

  62. YahDiggYeah! Says:

Most of ya’ll have some ignorant ass ish too speak about… I don’t blame you cuz experience hasn’t set in yet… Pac was that dude don’t get me wrong… He made Incredible Timeless music and will always be regarded as one of Hip-Hop’s top Emcees because of it, but he also lived an ignorant lifestyle based on deception and self-destruction. Have ya’ll ever heard of Practice what you preach? Well Pac Didn’t. He rapped about uniting black people and then turned around and made black people look ignorant by his actions. This happened until eventually (With some help of Suge’s Bitch Ass) killed him.

I will forever Miss Pac and always will think about how big he could of been or how much affect on the black communities around the world he could of had though the medium of hip-hop because of his poetic scripture, but the man had a few screws loose… God Rest his soul

  63. czz Says:

aidonia yo dawg u spoke my mind for me man… drake is pure garbage how he was even on that stupid list those mtv clowns made up along with like EVERY SINGLE RAPPER ON THAT LIST, not one of those clowns deserve to be up there specially that nigga jay-z fuckin hate that clown gets way to much credit, and for fuckin what? his stupid dumb flow horrible lyrics … just a disgrace man…

  64. waatf Says:

I’ll explain it….THIS NIGGA CANT FLOW PERIOD…there ya go

  65. Yung Froze Says:

I was 7 when Pac died.
Born into a house where all I listened to was rap.
Most of my life was a struggle, and still is trying to be legit and do real shit.
Even though I was young, I still cried when Pac died.
I didn’t know him personally, but at a young age I understood what he stood for.
And at that time, I had comprehension and a good understanding of life and death, so just hearing that he was gone was painful for a child like myself at the time.
I’ve done a lot of stupid shit in my life time, but I try to stay legit so I can pay the rent and make something of myself. Drake, never had to do that shit. He was born into a rich family, became an actor and then a rapper. He’s never lived in struggle, or known despair. That one line in “Fear” was simply for lyrical content. I got respect for Jay, but Jay lost his roots years ago.

Only thing that I see between Jay and Drake is that they both lost their roots.

I’m tired of these candy ass rappers making their lives seem so tough, when all they do is come from money, sleep in money and that shit. You ain’t live through real struggle and hard times. You weren’t forced to becoming a drug dealer, you chose to become one. I know, cause I went down that life path. Now, I’m holding down a job part time and looking for others, while trying to stay legit and legal.

Pac spoke for all of us who live the struggle, and his words shall do so till the end of time.
    eZ
    -Yung Froze-

  66. Mikie Slapz Says:

Drake is completely overated. Get the fuck outta here wit all that shit. He’s wack and need to be Mikie Slapped!

  67. fortydogg Says:

since when does what a actor/rapper(google dat) from canada think he need to even comment about it/ who told canadians they where even a part of hip hop(usa we run da rap game nigga)

  68. udonwanit Says:

why does he have to explain that line it makes alota sense he was like 9 when 2pac died whenever jayz dies he’s old enough to understand (plus he lived in canada if that even matters?)

  69. Mo Says:

    Jay-Z>2pac.

    Don’t care what anyone says.

  70. truth Says:

How dare u disrespect Makaveli the don Boss of all bosses the greatest rapper to ever touch the mic and bless the streets….Fuck drake and fuck jay-z …hope they both die so i can laugh cause it wont affect me.. Tired of idiots who dont understand just how great Tupac was and how much of a genuis and a poet he was…Pac’s music was Art and it made u respect hiphop as an artform the guy was the equivilant of what elvis and mj were their genres… i sometimes just feel like the majority of ppl who listen to hiphop are just idiots that’s why u’ll here lines like “jay-z ’s the greatest or lil wayne’s the greatest…i mean these are rappers who basically just brag about themselves n talk out their asses on every track…How the fuck is that art??? listen to pac tracks like dear mama, changes, mamas just a little girl, starin thrugh my rearview, better days, my block, trapped .etc man the list goes on…Tupac was an artist cause what he did was art….drake jayz and rappers out now are overated idiots and hiphop’s been dead since 1996…RIP Tupac and FUCK drake

  71. Mo Says:

My friend posted this on facebook

“Let’s? change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live, and let’s change the way we treat each other.” – Tupac Shakur

    and I commented;
Was that before or after he made the record “hit’em up”? lol Just asking…

I meant that as to say…you can preach all you want…but when you’re a public figure leading by actions or example is better. Just my personal opinion.

    Jay-Z leads by actions…not preaching….anyone can say anything….

    “I’m puff daddy’s second cousin”…..see?
    I can say anything…

  72. SUNSET Says:

THATS SOMETHING HE SHOULD OF KEPT TO HIMSELF BECAUSE IT CAUSED A WHOLE LOT OF COMMOTION AND CONFUSION.BUT IT DOES MAKE ME WONDER WHY WOULD HE EVEN SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

  73. SUNSET Says:

AND HONESTLY THAT LINE WAS WHACK IT HAS PEOPLE COMPARING THE 2 WHEN THERES NO COMPARISON JAY Z IS A RAPPER PAC WAS AN ARTIST.

  74. L-Y, NawfWestSide Says:

So, that meanz that i wuz 12 when Pac died, and his wordz rang bellz then, and they still do. PpL like to talk down on his lyrical prowess, b.u.t. Pac wuz mad nice lyrikally, with internal rhyming and his end multi-syllable rhyming, sorry folk, b.u.t. yes, beyond Biggie, i luv Big Poppa too, b.u.t. Pac went beyond the surface level when it came to touching souLz with his message in muzik. Frm wylin’ out to Sheddin’ tearz, word iz bond.

  75. scorpio Says:

LOL! What about the GROWN ASS MEN who didn’t cry when Pac died? We should have a survey in Hip Hop “DID YOU CRY WHEN YOU FOUND OUT THAT PAC/BIG DIED?’

  76. Smooth Da Hustler Says:

No rapper is that deep anyway. You want positivity or to to sharpen your mind…..Then read a book. Stop listening to that monkey shit for enlightenment. You’ll always just end up buying bigger rims.

  77. IknowRap Says:

guys its ok Jayz is better than pac n so is big…pac was just a more powerful n touching dude to some during his time in the world…i cried at 10 for pac but jay has influenced mesince he became large in 98 so im rockin wit him

  78. King Says:

@77 thank you. People make it seem like nobody is better than pac…lol….Jay-Z and Big are better on the mic than Pac…the only diff with 2pac is that he showed more passion in his rhymes…but besides that…he wasn’t really that talented as an MC.

People remember 2pac for the shit he did outsude of the booth rather than his music.

  79. balaramesh Says:

whats the discusssion here? for one, drake is not that complex of an artist. i doubt that was in any disrespect to pac. its pretty self explanatory.

  80. Peyton Says:

Im with 23, I didnt cry when he died, shoot, you cant tell someone how to feel. You guys kill me with how real Pac or Biggie was. Really??? Cause at the end of the day they were all just entertainers.just as Jay and these others are now, making money and doing what they love and making fans happy around the world.

Not a Drake fan, so I could really careless about his opinion, but some of you lames get so pressed about Jay, that its becoming very overrated and typical.

    I’m tired of Drake already

  82. Figure It Out Says:

Realistically everyone here (for the most part anyways) has a valid perspective on this, whether it is our place to or not. I am also included as I see this a moment where the wool has been pulled over a lot of your eyes. Jay-Z has done a tremendous amount of things for the people, and yes you could say Pac didn’t do anything besides speak and expose the inner working of the projects. However Jay-z embraced the Illuminati way, and in turn was rewarded with the ability to make a minuscule change in the eyes of the people (but especially the government). We must as a whole realize we are being fooled by the entertainers of today, especially pertaining to the rap genre. They claim independence and rebellion but for the most part are greedy, selfish, and extremely Machiavellian (excuse the pun). However when we look at Tupac’s life and history in the limelight, we truly see he compromised little of where he came from, and how he envisioned helping the world. Pac will (if it hasn’t already occurred) “spark the mind that will change the world”.

P.S. This is for those with a little more of an open mind and wish to learn something.

  89. Kesha Says:

maybe he couldn’t feel pac’s music because he wasn’t in the position where he could relate to it. I know growing up in the hood and struggling to get out Pac was all i played. I seen my older brothers listen to songs like temptations, dear mama, keep your head up, brenda got a baby, only god can judge me, i ain’t mad at you and drop tears. When thugs mansion came out how many people bumped that and related to it? We felt Pac, we breathed Pac and to this day we rock to Pac. I was 10 years old or so when Pac got murked and i was heartbroken, then Big got knocked and i was like what the fuck. Drake’s dumb for saying some dumb shit. Does that mean he didn’t get into hip hop until after big because if he really loved hip hop then Pac’s death would have affected him.

this leads me to wonder is Drake a new Rapper, like did he start rapping after his teen soap opera Degrassi because if he was a true lover of hip hop he would now about Pac, Big, Rakim, Public Enemy, Wu Tang, Rob Base, celly cell, mc Eiht, mc breed, kRS one.. hell we need to really see if Drake real hip hop or is he just commercial.

  90. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Says:

Pac was really something special, he was more than rap and the ones who cried realized that.
